Beautiful work. I love the variety of poses that makes for a very dynamic, aggressive group. Fantastic texture on the banner as well, it's very unique and effective.

The spears have a perfect weight to them, and I like the use of purity seals to add movement and detail.

In short; wow!

I want your recipe for that red, it looks amazing! I have no need for it, but I just want to do a unit of these guys like you have them for the hell of it.

The spears and shields are scratchbuilt. I'll be getting a plain shield and one variety of spear cast up soon. After that I'll do some modified ones (a few slightly different designs for shields and spears) for a larger production run.

Fantastic. I'm personally not too keen on the red used, but that's just personal taste. Overall these models look amazing. I like the link between the shield and banner, the cracked white is a great idea and works really well. Great work.

I like the white, but the red seems a bit flat. Might just be the overly glossy finish killing the highlights, of course.

@WhiteWolf01: This commission was just for the honour guard. The client enjoys painting & modelling and just wanted a little something special for the HQ. He'll probably end up buying a few of the spears when I get them cast up for counts-as power weapons.

@Laughing Man: The red's quite a rich metallic, but as the bulk of the unit aren't done to competition standard, just character, the metals aren't blended to high contrast NMM style, as they are on the chapter master. The gloss does kill the highlights a bit, but it's more that the colour isn't shaded deep against the highlights that makes it look flat.

I love the idea of a high gloss lacquer finish on SM armor. Well done.

That spear just looks painful. When a model has the ability to scare the bejesus out of you and you forget that it is just a miniature a congratulations would be in order.

Trust me, I stabbed myself several times with those damn spears... they're *pointy*.
