Hey guys, in the dwarf army book it says this rule works against anything that is a greenskin in any description, could someone please list what enemy units can be affected by this.

All types of Orcs (Black and Savage included) all types of Goblin (Night Goblins and Ogre's Gnoblars included). Not sure about Hobgoblins Platuan said, he could be right.

Seconded.

Any variety of Orcs, Goblins, Hobgoblins, Gnoblars and Snotlings are related and all varieties of "greenskins"

It never specifies any limitation such as if it only said the words "goblin" or "orc"
Since it just says greenskins (which isn't specific) then it applies to the whole lot of greenskin species.

Even Nurglings? They are green skinned?

Theyre not part of the greenskin "race", so no....

But let's go back to the RAW and RAI argument and say fluff makes rules, if they are green skinned then surely they must be greenskins?

You need to keep in mind the the armybook was written by people who assume players can keep their head out of their a**.

Which is rotten on green skin.

Look, in WFB/WH40k terminology, green skin is just another word for a member of the Orcish race. Snotling =not orcs =not green skins.

T.O.

Snotlings are related to orcs the same way goblins are. In 40k they have some very specific xeno biology fluff on how snotlings, gretchen, orks, squigs and squigoths are related. In fantasy generally greenskin means some specific orcish stuff. I've heard snotlings called greenskins but not squigs. Others, as had been said, are goblins, gnoblars, and hobgoblins.

Please put this on your sig if you know someone, work for someone or are related to someone who suffers from stupidity. Stupidity is real and should be taken seriously. You could be sitting next to a sufferer right now. There is still no known cure for stupidity and sympathy does not help. But we can raise awareness.... 93% won't copy and paste this because they don't know how to copy and paste

If that was the case then Goblins would have to be excluded too. While I wouldn't mind that, it is incorrect. Night Goblins especially have an ancient feud with the Dwarf race. And snotlings ARE part of the greenskin race... Plus they really have green skin. I am not sure if the terminology you write about is 40k, in WHFB there is nothing saying greenskin is only meant to be applied to Orcs.

Wait, I meant nurgling. Sorry. my bad.
But yeah. Greenskin = anything orky/orcy (?) or orc related, like gobbos, snotlings, squigs (maybe) ect.

Basically anything in the O&G book that is an Ork, Snotling, or Goblin. It also includes Hobgoblins and Gnoblars.

In 40k it would work because Squigs are most certaintly an Orkoid subspecies.

In Fantesy, there is no such relationship.

There will always be at least one guy whose thick either on purpose or just by natural selection, it's sad really.

Just because something has green skin does not make them a Greenskin and vice versa.

I would say you only get the bonus if you are actually attacking the Greenskin part of the unit.

So if you were attacking the Goblin Shamen on an Arachnarok you would reroll. not if attacking the Spider itself.

I would say so too greenskins which would be as listed above.

And ya it would only count on the dude riding the giant spider rather than the spider itself.

Ah, so if greenskin players just say that their orks are sunburnt and paint them red they will be immune to ancestral grudge.

I belive that the Dwarf book specifically mentions what is a Greenskin under ancesteral grudge.

But also says "all greenskins of any description" I asked this question not knowing what else, other than the units listed, counts as a greenskin?

Nothing outside of what was listed is currently a greenskin.

I think GW may have left openings "just in case" they introduce any new greenskin varients.
