Veteran Sergeant Naaman of the DA died at the battle of Piscina IV and his stats are given in the codex.
I always found it ironic that his claim to being a named character in the codex was that he sacrificed himself.

There is the, largely unsubstantial, rumor that Calgar is dead. Its in the 4th ed codex in Calgar's entry. It says that some Imperial records show his death, but others show he still leads the Ultramarines.

His model is available, but has been moved to the Collector's section. As for his rules, I know they're in an older codex, but they aren't in the 5e one.

God forbid they get Cain, he's cool and I genuinely enjoy him and everything but not even close to the man that Ibram Gaunt is. The IoM needs real heroes.

He's getting royally over by Slaanesh on that Blackstone.
The Eldar keep telling themselves he's still alive. The sad truth is that he is indeed VERY much alive, so he can feel all the horrible things Slaanesh is doing to him.

Nah, she came back. There's a bit about her in that single page of fluff the Sisters got in their new WD "codex".
That same page changed Praxedes to being KIA instead of just being MIA, though. Bad trade. :(
Skal098 wrote:Or will say the imperial guard have a new hero Commissar Caiphas Cain?
Given those novels' transgressions against studio material, I doubt GW would sanction them by adding this character to the setting promulgated in their army books, in spite of their apparent popularity.

Depends on how many rejuvenant treatments the guy has had. Since he's a hero, I'm sure he's had his fair share (or else he wouldn't be 200 in the first place), but I doubt he's still in his prime. He's probably a bit haggard at this point. Automatically Appended Next Post: Skal098 wrote:Say they take out all these heroes in 6e, will they make up new ones? I doubt they would take them out. 40k has had "historical" special characters since 3rd edition, if not earlier (I can't remember any 2nd edition ones off the top of my head, but there were probably a few).
