Horrible sculpts, the usual low-quality rubbish from shadowforge, a company which compensates for it's lack of talent by releasing an endless stream of porno models to sell to greasy virgins (which is, to be fair, a damn good business model... if it's sex-related, it will sell, regardless of how bad it is).

the thign that irritates me the most is they have released these to be made male cadian legs.... and they have definite manly packages going on :/

Does the sculptor have any actual sculpting experience, or did they just hire someone off the street? Either that, or the heads were cast horribly warped, and they decided to go with it anyway.

Meh, they look okay to me, considering the size of them. I'm not particularly a fan of Shadowforge's stuff, but for a bunch of tiny heads they don't look all that different to some of the Perrys' older work. Fur cap #2 and Helmeted are pretty bad, I'll admit, but most aren't much different to any other generic human female miniature heads.

I think it's the painting that gives them the inflatable girl look - starkly outlines eyes, pale skin and red, red lips.

I find them better than the heads on say, Mantic's bland, plastic dwarfs.

They're not that bad. Not great either and not really worth the price.

better then what GW offers (which is nothing)

Only the upper body and head is changed. The arms, lower body, and hands will all still be male. The hands are the most noticeable and will look very masculine which might make the model look like a transvestite.

Wow, that's an impressive amout of vitriol and overstatement. And no, Shadowforge does not make "porno models". Words have meanings, you know, you can't just go around throwing them around willy-nilly.

There is a demand for a female guardsman.

I think they look allright, pretty sure the paintjob is to blame. I'm not saying they're all masterpieces, but like Amaya says, there's all you need for female regiments. (except for limbs that is heheh).

I like Shadowforge. I do not own anything by them but if the Blood Bowl rumours are true for next year I'll have me a gridiron nuns team for sure!

Way to generalize. Being married to a female in the military and having a lot of female friends in the military, I can honestly say, more often than not, they're ANYTHING but manly.

All of the helmets, caps, hats, etc sit way WAY too high on the heads of the models. That's the problem.

Yeah I got a sister in the USAF. She can kick your ass, but she doesn't look manly. I don't get why auxillerary companies like this don't just release full kits.

Excellent links. The first two though aren't really heroic scale sculpts like you'd see in 40K. I'd say those two ladies from khorosho and mcvey more properly belong in Infinity (based on the sculpts more than the size) than 40k. The Hasslefree stuff could make for some fine guards(wo)men, but admittedly of the three sites I like them the least. Love mcvey and khorosho, wish I had them on my desk right now.

No there not heroic scale as in hands bigger than there heads lol but there not to bad..
