Hey Dakkanauts.

Just wonderin, what your most anticipated single storyline of fluff that you wish that you could know what happened.

For me it was a toss up of finding out where the Missing primarchs are I.e. Vulkan etc.
Or.
Finding out about the II and XI chapters and primarchs.

What are your thoughts, what loose ends do you want to tie??

E're we go! E're we go! E're we go!

I want to know more about Jaghatai. He's the least-fleshed-out Primarch (save for the missing two), and I'd love to learn more about that good Genghis Khan.

I had a discussion about this earlier today, I want the Necron fluff to focus on them trying to reawaken the Void Dragon and in effect shut down the Imperium's machinery since
Spoiler:
the Void Dragon is supposedly the Machine Spirit and dormant within Mars

I want more info on Vulkan. Everyone else is dead, gone into the Eye of Terror or in a "sleep" of sorts (Guilliman & Lion). He is just missing. Gone off on his own, while his Chapter looks for ancient relics.

I want the story to be moved along for gods sakes. I hate it being the same year aLL THE TIME!
We need to continue to the path it is on. Hell alot of franchises have been doing that and they have been quite successful.

Have Leman Russ return with a host of 13th Company warriors and retake the Cadian Gate.

M42.001: Chapter Master Marneus Calgar leads a crusade into Tau Space. Before he can even make planetfall, his battlefleet is engaged by hundreds of Tau ships. Two of the twelve Imperial ships escape. Battle Barge Octavius, with Marneus Calgar aboard, is lost with all hands, detonating its Warp Engines to take much of the Tau Fleet with it.

M42.002: After nearly a year of power struggle, Cato Sicarius becomes Chapter Master of the Ultramarines. His first act is to lead a crusade of vengeance against the Tau Empire. Bolstered by Ultramar's Guard Regiments, the Sons of Orar, and several other chapters of Marines, the Crusade takes great strides at first. Slowly, however, the two Tau Commanders, Shadowsun and Farsight, agree to temporarily put aside their differences to face the Imperial threat. The Marines are beaten back within five years, sustaining an approximately 60% casualty rate.

More minor Xenos Species.

More fluff on minor chapters, like Forgeworld does (Raptors, Scorpions, Sharks...)

Whether Altansar was actually corrupted by Chaos or not during its ten millennia-long stint in the Eye of Terror.

The Lexicanum article kinda is vague on that point, with the only thing said on the subject being that the other Craftworld Eldar assume they are, "because how could they not be?"

But I only want to know if it turns out they weren't. If they were, I want them to keep it vague and open to interpretation.

Technically, Alpharius was attacked by Guilliman, and he probably isn't dead.

Also, the Chaos primarchs can legitimately be alive since they operate in the Eye or behind the scenes. If the Lion awoke, people would expect to be able to play him.

I'd like to get out of 40k and go into 41k. All these stories are building up for some big event that we will probably never see.

I really don't see how it could effect sales in a bad way unless GW kills off some of the races.

Maybe It wuld be cool to see. (In the intrest of both story progression and the tieing of loose ends.) either primarch II or XI comming back to rule the empire in the abcence of the other loyist primarchs.
then we could have the return of a loyist primarch that has a legitamite excuse to not be feilded on the table.

I've got a more realistic plan.
M42.001: Increasingly annoyed with the Tau Empire expansion, the Imperium's Warmaster raises 1000 regiments of Imperial Guard for the sole purpose of eradicating the Tau.

M42.009: The Tau are eradicated.

I felt a great disturbance in the Fluff, as if millions of 40k fans suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.

Or was that just Kan? It can be hard to tell sometime.

They are in the fluff, vaguely hinted at in the HH.

They are dead and gone. Now the whole 'OoooOOOOooh, mystery of the LooooOOOOooost LeeeeEEEEeeegions' exists so that little kids get to make up their own super-cool-lost-legion Marines.

Wait, no. I'm sorry. Mr. Norman wins:

I know they have a practical reason for existing, and are there to give the Speeesh Mahhreeen players their own special "this is my X legion and it counts as Y legion" but realisticaly Why to they need two vacant chapter slots?

Yes the are Hinted at in the HH fluff but only Hinted at, and no one really knows why the were deleted form history. So it is feasable that one of them could be brought back.
I mean it is ludacris to think that they were deleted for going against the emporer considering the rest of the fluff so I reckon their background could be a whole lot more interesting.
