I will be posting my completed Death Guard models here. Starting with my latest conversion of a Classic Chaos Nurgle Renegade to a Death Guard Plague Marine Champion.

they look well doen only the plasma ammo for the plasmapistol should get a different colour imo..

Excellent work so far! Love the use of oldskool plague marines! And yes, just to make them official-looking you might want to paint the power cells on the Champ's plasma pistol blue or red for chaos. Otherwise, how wll people know it gets hot?

Yeah I know I have been leaving out the plasma cells and a few other details.I am trying to do as much as i can now but the reality is I cant obsess over ever detail I am trying to finish my whole DG army then when that is done I will go back and take care of the little things lke the Plasma Cells. Here are a few more I based the last champion and finished up another Champion (his arms are Magnetized so I can change his weapons at will for different lists)....and here is my Terminator Champ before some touch ups and finishing his base...I tell you one thing taking pictures really helps me see the mistakes and things I missed and stuff I need to touch up.

Excellent work. I'm working on some plague marines myself atm. The powerfist on the reaper autocannon termie is especially nice.

Might I suggest drilling out the bolters?

Yeah I know I plan on going back and cleaning up little details like moulding lines that i missed and Drilling out holes in guns and paint touch ups after I finish up the army since I have sepnt so much time the past few months assembling and converting and magnetizing stuff and adding new stuff and constantly changing my army list for tournaments that actually finishing this army was becoming a bit of a fantasy so now I am just concentrating on actually finishing models.

These guys are awesome! I really like that they are slimy and wet looking. Did you use 'ardcoat or something on them or is it just a glossy paint? I like that they are shiny from mud and water and slime and snot and whatever terrible putrid things Nurgle makes them excrete from their pores. I actually REALLY like the wood on the guns. It makes the plaguemarines seem like they are from a dirty trench in WW1 and have emerged from another age (which they have bc of the old school model feel). It ties in well with the earthy tones of the army too!

I use a 22 year old can of testers spray gloss clear coat. It's a very small can I got way back in the days I'm going to have to figure out what to do when it's finally empty. I'm glad you like my first model just wait till you see my Nurgled out Defiler up next when I finish off the last 3 Death Guard Terminators.

Really liking this thread so far. When I saw that you had chopped up a RT Plague Marine I had to stop for a bit and really check it out. I decided I like it. Unique combination of what was and what is.

Like the paint scheme a lot as well. If I had my army to do over it would likely be more drab and subdued with whiter / paler colors as contrast.

Looking forward to the Defiler, and subbed.

I think these are really fantastic looking Death Guard. And as always, the older models hold more of the plague marine feel. I really liked how you painted up Typhus, he looked phenomonal. Keep up that fantastic work. BTW, the your color choice is one of the best Ive seen.

Tonight's next Terminator....Combi Melta and Chain fist....I am not happy how this one came out I made the mistake of Glossing it and leaving by window to dry but temperature dropped drastically outside and instead of drying looking wet the gloss dried frosted and dry looking.

Next Terminator....2nd with Combi Flamer and Lightning Claw...one more to go then I start working on the Defiler

And finally the Last Terminator in the squad....Twinlinked Bolter and Power Weapon

Very nice! I am glad there are so many Nurgle threads coming up right when I myself am building a Nurgle army! I love the first mini! Normally the oop stuff doesn't look very good compared to the new models but that one is nice!
