Can be any Sci-fi universe.

Personally, I think Ender is my favourite.

Any of you read Ender's game?

Ender's game is a bit over-rated, sure it's a good read, but definately over-rated.

As for my favorite; I don't have one, I enjoy the settings far more than the characters within them.

My current favorite sci/fi hero is Harry Dresden.

(Spoiler tags added, so you don't have to be exposed to his awesomeness unless you want to.)
Spoiler:

He once attempted to bill God (literally) after helping out an archangel.

The Vampires pissed him off, so he killed every last one of them on the planet.

He arranged to have himself killed to get out of paying a debt, died, realized that was stupid, and came back to life.

RARRRRRRRRRR

The execution was, I admit, fairly poor, but the content, theme, and thought that went into it was astounding.

Certainly better than BL anyways.

But If we're going by book instead of character, then DUNE.

Every Dakkanaught gets a 4+ Pinch of Salt save.
When you suffer a Falling Sky hit, roll a D6 - on a 4+ the hit is ignored as per the Pinch of Salt save. On a 1-3 panic insues - you automatically fail common sense tests for the next 2 weeks and get +7 to your negativity stat. -Praxiss
