Androgynous Daemon Prince of Slaanesh
|
Topic is in and of itself, who is the most despicable/despised/evil villain you have ever seen in a movie or a television show? Please give a reason too-I'm just curious, and this is started by the "video game villain" thread. Obviously, spoilers are llikely if you haven't seen the particular movie or show yet. My personal "most despicable" is Helen Cutter from Primeval. She sets about to destroy the first hominids in season three, after lying to her boyfriend and putting him in a position where he is chomped down by raptors AND after shooting her husband point blank in the chest, killing him, after he rescues her from a burning building. Thankfully she dies in season 3, but her legacy lives on...
Movie wise, I'd go with Kevin Spacey in Se7en. A religious fanatic who is willing to kill and destroy people (innocents, even if he doesn't believe so) to prove his point of humanity's failure and preach his version of God's message.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

I have to go with pretty much everyone that V killed in the movie V for Vendetta (and I presume the comic it was based on, but I've only ever seen the movie). Creedy, Sutler, Prothero and Lilliman all scream "fething donkey-cave," and it was really satisfying to see V kill them all over the course of the movie.

Weyland-Utani. They were willing to repeatedly sacrifice the lives of valuable scientists, soldiers and hapless starship crew just to get samples of the Xenomorphs for their weapons development program. That's right, the Xenomorphs aren't villainous monsters any more than the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park, they are just animals, following their instincts.

In the book, they're much more relatable and human. V isn't a good guy, so much as he is simply a force for anarchy. Norsefire does a lot of terrible things, but you come to actually understand the motivations behind Susan (renamed Sutler in the film, to act as an insultingly transparent analogy).

He didn't want to, Harry. He tried to keep the kid away. He was willing to do it because he was ruthless in his goal, but he didn't -want- to do it.
Plus that kid was annoying as hell in My Family.

@MrDwhitey: He still did it though. He's one of my favourite villians, but I do think the act of murdering a child does make him despicable.
Still better than Commodus though.
