Hi there,
In today’s newsletter we can announce that the next Warhammer Forge expansion book, Monstrous Arcanum, will be on sale at the Forge World Open Day in limited numbers and is also available to pre-order now.

Monstrous Arcanum
This is the eagerly-anticipated first book in a new series from Warhammer Forge, and as its name suggests Monstrous Arcanum deals with a veritable carnival of monsters both arcane and bloodthirsty.
Within this 113 page, full-colour hardback book, you will find 32 new monsters – nightmarish horrors and noble beasts, creatures of magic made flesh and the victims of terrible curses inflicted by dark powers – presented in the form of Binding Scrolls for use with any Warhammer army.

These are not limited to just Storm of Magic games, however, as the book contains nine scenarios and special rules to allow these deadly creatures to be fielded in regular Warhammer battles, and a helpful appendix chart to allow you to theme your monsters to your army.

Lavishly illustrated throughout with some of the finest artwork yet produced by Rhys Pugh and Sam Lamont and presented in gold-inlaid leather effect binding, Monstrous Arcanum takes the form of a detailed bestiary of these infernal and terrible creatures, and also contains new magic items and artefacts alongside a short narrative campaign. Our Visual Feed channel on youtube also has an interview about Monstrous Arcanum with Alan Bligh.

Hot off the press, this fantastic book will be on sale in limited numbers at the Forge World Open Day on Sunday 1st April, and is also available to pre-order now for despatch from the 10th April.

Probably intentional on their part, there's supposed to be a few surprises--the Khemric Titan certainly was one!

There's also this...

Now, who knows what a "Shard Dragon" might be?
Looking even closer...

Shard Dragon, Magma Dragon, and something twisted by the Realm of Chaos!

Oh look! Deathwing!

Does anyone know if they're planning on releasing miniatures in conjunction with the release of this rulebook ,or if it's 'stand alone' ? I presume some of the things they've released already will be in it (understandably) but will they have some of these delicious new monsters? A Khemri Titan, for example? A Giant black, armored Dragon, who causes cataclysmic events across the known world, reshaping it forever? I joke again.

Models are going to be released for the book, yes.

The whole point of the book is to give rules for models they're going to be releasing. While they may not be immediately available, their goal is likely to release a model for each within the next year. It looks like each entry gets artwork like the Khemric Titan and Basilisk pages so you can convert your own based upon the artwork until they release them.

That Titan would be entertaining to use. It has the delightful combat randomness which makes giants so amusing to play with, combined with the suicide bomber potential of the Warpfire Dragon. I wonder how delightfully silly the rules for the MEGASQUIG! will be...

Based on Tamurkan, one of the best products theyve ever released (up there with IA9 and 10) and from chatting with them at GD, I'd already decided I was getting it - the pictures just sealed the deal.
