So firstly i will describe the setting. The year is 2078 worle and goverments have collapesed do to the fallout from a terrorist hydrogen bomb that fell in D.C. the majority of North america is now barren wastes. Two years later in 2080 a strange varient of the flu makes it to europe it has been mutated by radiation it only has a 1% chance that you will be able to survive it the survivours end up becoming horribaly mutated creatures. The few remaining pure humans on the planet are fighting a battle for surviaval on earth. Now i will describe the factions. firstly are the scavengers surving humans just trying to make their way in life they where armor made from scrap metal and use home made guns and some wepons that have survived all this. Next are the mutts mutated semi sapien animals that are trying to eat all life on the planent they are very fast and wolf like. Next are the demented the horribaly mutated human survivours who attack any one and anything out of pure rage. Then their is the new order a extremely technologically addvanced group ( think a army all the rich scientists who made it to the fall out shelters built ). I need some one who could draw me concept art to email me at brooksriley44@rocketmail.com and any suggestions to story line can be posted here

I think people are drawing parallels to Fallout because there's a lot of similarities, although a lot of those are just tropes of post apocalyptic settings.

If you want blunt, honest advice, and I warn you that I am not going to sugarcoat this.

First off, spelling and grammar. Use it. You are pitching an idea to us, and if you aren't willing to take the time to make it correct, what are you going to do when you actually get to the hard parts of designing a game? I know this is just an internet forum, but it does not take extra effort to make your writing stand out. Right now, your pitch just looks lazy, and if you can't be bothered to make it shine, why should I bother to play it?

Second of all, you've given us a backstory and are asking for art. If you are wanting to make a minis game out of it, I think your priorities are a bit misaligned. What are the mechanics? What are the rules? A backstory is not going to sell a game on its own, art isn't going to do that either. You should really focus on building your rules and the mechanics of the game before you worry too much about the cool backstory. That stuff can come later along.

For a thread ostensibly about making a miniature war game... why hasn't the OP actually said anything about the game? What's the scale? Game size? Basic rule concept? Dice used? I couldn't care less about the window dressing.

You need the game mechanics first.
Then you can add in the themes.
What scale will it be in?
Will it be small unit skirmish or large scale?
What type of dice will you use (I personally would go with D10)
What stats will you use for the models, and what kind of range?
Will there be experience levels for units to improve in a campaign?

Seriously, the background and look of the models is the last thing you need to work on.

I don't know about last but I do agree with the suggestions upthread. However, I think it would be valuable to say "This is the kind of thing that should happen in this game." For example, should a helicopter swooping down to evac some troops fit in the game's imagery? If so, then the game needs rules for aircraft, or failing that aerial extractions. Should it be gritty and pseudo-realistic with sub-human mutants that are pitiful wretches lucky to be alive making horrible attempts to grab at the better-off survivors, or are many mutants grotesque but superhuman? If superhuman, are we talking bestial and super strong, or all the way to 'mutant power of shooting laser beams from eyes' level weirdness? Is the game based around individuals, squads, armies?

However, that's conceptualizing and explaining what type of action I should expect when playing the game.

If you plan on writing this you will absolutely need better spelling and grammar. If I saw anything for sale with spelling and grammar as poor as that in your post, I would put it back on the shelf only after I finished laughing at it. This setting does sound almost identical to that of the Fallout games, right down to the time of the world ending. Work on good rules first, then apply them to the setting. Peruse through here to find out what you want to avoid if you don't want to just make a carbon copy of Fallout's universe: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_Wiki

All of this.

Frankly, I'm surprised I even read the whole post, but I can't take it seriously with poor spelling/grammar. A basic setting is nice, but most of are more concerned with what the game play will feel like.

Ok sorry guys obviously i was to blunt im working on statistical charts and the what not all i really needed was for some one with artistic talent to help me so i can get rough prints of minatures. But I will describe the game play the average army will only be bout 11-15 minatures i know this might seem small to average gamesworkshop game players. I plan on focusing on extremely customizale minatures hoping to actually install manets as a permanat fixtiure allowing you to use smaller amounts of troops for more jobs also all models will act as independent characters. You also will be able to use endurance to have your units do special actions, such as climb a wall dig earth works or open doors etc. i hope this covers all your questions if not email me at the formerly listed adress or pm me

I see you chose to ignore all the comments about your spelling and grammar. That is unfortunate.

Perhaps before you find someone to design art for you, you should find someone to edit your posts before you finalize them.

Honestly, if you can't be bothered to communicate to the world properly, I doubt you will be able to create a unique game that will attract many players.

Well i figured i would add some things about the mutants i saw several posts in the thread asking about them so. The human mutants are typically larger then the regular man 8-9 Ft. tall they only want vengance against the un-mutated humans they are significantly stronger some have gained spider like appendages barbed tails and the rarest of all significantly end up as the ruling class is the mutated winged ones called night lords their wings are bat like and their faces have a bat like aspects. Now for the mutant animals their are three primary mini factions the mutated mammals that form rough packs led by the largest of the pack, the insects that are led by a mantis like creature called the hive simply because it thinks for all of the other creatures if it dies they turn into a disorganized panicked mob, and finally the reptiles/fishes they are the most coopertive and intelligent they are stealthy killers who certain members spit venom. any more questions post on thread i will update daily

After a few PM's from this guy I can tell you the answer: not bloody likely.

He is either REALLY dedicated to this bumpkin persona, or he really did go to a one room school along with the children from other grades.

My attempts at brokering a peace with his typing have failed and they will continue to attack our civilized senses.

For the record, I wish I was making that up. I really do. I can forward the PM's if you want.

That is indeed unfortunate. I'm always willing to support new games/people who create them, but not if they can't describe it in coherent sentences.

No, we want you capitalize words properly (namely 'I'), spell correctly, punctuate your sentences and fragments appropriately, and use proper grammar.

Basically all the things we expect from someone developing a miniature wargame.

Proper grammar and spelling are part of the rules of this forum.
Most, if not all, internet browsers have some kind of a spell checker if it taxes you too much.
The idea for the game seems kinda interesting but I'm not sure i'd play it without more information...

There are probably more to be asked...
It can't just be 40k but with less models...

The scale will be realitivley small like i previously stated that 11-15 men per side in the combat im trying to make this more about the abilities of your troops less about the luck of the dice, how I plan on implementing this by having rubble strewn maps with multi level buildings. The map will be actively used such as having a charecter with a grappling hook special equipment tking the high ground allowing him to fire upon a heavy enemy keeping the rest of the team from advancing and flanking the enemies troops but dice will still decide hit or miss cover saves if they have armor, armor saves. The three main stats is endurance, wounds, and strength. Endurance decides how many actions the character can take, wounds/hitpoints still debating name is a scale of how much damage your character can take, and strength decides how much melee damage your troops due in melee and that certain abilities like opening heavy doors requires a certain amount of strength. Weapons are how the range and damage they do are seperate of how the characters are functoned i am still working on meale weapon statistics.

I believe scale refers to the size and detail of the models rather than the number...
The question referring to 'small unit skirmish or large scale' refers to whether it would be more like Epic, 40k or Necromunda (And other skirmish games like it)
IIRC 40k is 25mm heroic scale. Though i could easily be wrong about that and I'd welcome a confirmation or otherwise...

The scale of the models in refrence to actuall people I really cant do that math so right now i plan on having the average man aout three inches tall to allow for more detail and customizaton it would be more like a skirmish then all out war
