Are the subjects in Trayzn's collection alive but frozen or dead but preserved and posed to be in a diorama?

That remains to be seen, it was not confirmed to be a Primarch just a giant men in baroque powr armor. It can be Astartes Captain from Legions, early Inquisitor, Custodes...

But, as has been proven, it is unlikely that such a relativly unimportant individual would be worthy of Trazyns attention. Therefore it is most likely a Primarch.

Heresy era Astartes captains wouldn't have seemed very important at the time, Inquisitors are a dime a dozen, and Custodes arn't exactly an interesting lot.

Correct, however it is the safest assumption to take.

But not a singular one. If he is to collect one of a species, it must be a great and important one. He has Sebastian Thor, a fething ENSLAVER, and a giant in baroque power armor. Saying the power armored guy is just some dude is like saying he has The Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, and a turtle. But not one of the big ones, one of those dollar store, school-fair ones

I wonder, If he did have a primarch, who is it?
He is most likely loyal.
My guess would be the Vulkan, or Khan.

Can't be Khan, Vect has him.

The possable candidates, who are alive/possably alive, would be Vulkan, Alpharus/Omegon, and Corax.

Or there is the possability that Trazyn pulled the ultimate switcheroo and its Gulliman.

Im going with Corax because he went missing and no-one's ever found him. Could also be whatshisface from the iron hands.

Doubt it's Coraz or Alpharius as neither have ever been been described as wearing baroque armour and both have had a fair bit of limelight in the HH series so far. Vulkan, maybe because he's known for forging ornate weapons and armour but I'm getting vibe that maybe (and this is purely my own speculation) maybe the HH series is going to do another retcon and have him dead/missing since Istvaan, as there is no sign of him so far.
You're forgetting the other two Primarchs that GW loves to tease us about with vague snippets of information.

Unless Ferrus Manus managed to regrow his head, it's doubtful. You could argue that the quote says nothing about the giant having a head but it stands to reason that neither the Traitor's or the Loyalists would have just left him in the dirt. I mean the Emperor's Children occupied that area, and you know how they love to play with their dead.

One account of his disappearence says Khan was last seen riding his bike into the Webway.

Vect has a prisoner of great importance who he has as a last resort gladiator for the Arena.

I doubt its coencidence.

Dark Eldar can come back from the dead.

That's a really interesting theory about Khan though.

No, I mean they can come back from the dead. Successful warriors make deals with Haemonculi, who use a technique that exposes their corpse (or pieces of their corpse in certain cases) to pain from some weird regeneration machine. They can actually come back from the dead.

Urien Rakarth has actually completely mastered this technique. He's supposed to have died dozens of times, just to come back more grotesque than the last.

Yeah, basically you just need a piece of the body to regrow the person, whose conciousness then inhabits the new body.

Under the right circumstances, they can. Of course, they can also give commands that can bring about the destruction of armies

honestly, that's probably the best guess, GW just keeps those two unknown so that they can put out fluff like this about super important characters who have no real background whatsoever.

Shot in the dark but it could be Dorn! They always talk about his death being him rushing into the 1st Black Crusade, but nobody has ever returned with his body. The "hand" they have is supposedly from an escape pod after the ill fated assault, which has already been defined as NOT being Dorn.

"However it has recently been revealed that Dorn and his veteran Space Marines stormed the Chaos ship and were cut down to a man. Later, the Imperial Fists would pick up an escape pod from one of their own ships, which contained the effects of the Primarch when he went onboard the ship and a single skeletal fist of the Primarch. Where the true Rogal Dorn or his body is and what his fate may have been, no one yet knows. "

From:

http://warhammer40k.wikia.com/wiki/Rogal_Dorn

I have no idea why he would have Dorn....maybe at some point his body was used as a bargaining gift of sorts by Abaddon?
