Horus Heresy is a great looking game. I say 'looking' as I've not yet found the time to play my copy, but the pieces have been very useful in campaigns and whatnot (the pieces work perfectly with Planetary Empires).

Thanks for the heads up on this Panic, I've wanted the HH game for a while, but dropping $100.00 on something I'll play maybe 3 times a year just wasn't my idea of money well spent. $38 shipped is much more casual game night friendly.

hmmm, it's actually a great deal even when shipped when you buy 4 or 5 games - I just don't have the money to do that atm :( (HH alone goes for $86 shipped to NL on it's own...)

Not sure but I think most of the WFRP2E stuff started the sale sold out or nearly so (as I tried to get them in the sale last year ... and they were sold out then as well ...).

The bigger news is that WFRP3E is marked down so low. Guess this might be the end.

I still think it's clearing warehouse space.

Yep, shipping is rough with FFG. Order more so it's worth it.

I took the opportunity to nab (nearly) the whole WFRP3E line.

Two novels and a tank, even with their steep shipping is still cheaper than here, so yay, I can finally read the second part in the Dark Waters trilogy and a new Android novel. Was tempted by the RPG stuff, but seeing as its pretty low on fluff and more on building dice pools, pass.

Keep in mind that when you're paying $15+ in shipping the box is significantly larger even than the box for Space Hulk or Dreadfleet, my office desktop computer is smaller.

So if FF is selling the HH game at 25 bucks...is this because they have a ton of them and it didnt sell very well? I wonder if 25 bucks is below cost and they are selling it at a loss or does it have that high of a markup?

Dunno about the manufacturing costs, but the game has a ton of components.

They're probably selling them (along with all of the other stuff in that sale) to clear out space for all of the Star Wars stuff that they're going to be selling.

I was tempted by the Horus Heresy box, but $60 shipping? No thanks.

I suspect that the entire sale is about clearing limited warehouse space and removing items that have been there for a while now.

I am not troubled either way. I would like the line to continue on because I think it's rather cool but I admit it has a lot of problematic aspects. And if they do discontinue it ... well, I have everything but the PoD products to hand or in the mail.

It's a decent game, a bit much on the complex side and only 2 players really, but if you and your opponent spend a few minutes reading the rules first then it can be a lot of fun, but it does take a good bit of time.
