Some rivets still need cleaning, and I will be leaving the weathering till I have the whole army painted

What's left of Cadia

Always nice to see another Guard blog on here. I'll be keeping an eye on this.

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

So I've been doing some work on the regiment. Managed to get some work done on a squad of guardsmen, all base colours are done. And the bases are finished, will post pics later, phone is currently on charge.

And on 2 side notes, Had my first game against wolves last night. And it was a massacre in favour of the guard. I almost felt sorry for the guy. (we had agreed before hand, to use our tournament lists for a convention tournament in february) I Had him tabled by turn 3. barring 1 Drop pod, (we called it there as if it had been a tournament I would of just rolled around the table for 3 turns securing my maelstrom objectives which the tournament is using)

And the second note, I'm playing in a 750 tournament tomorrow, with 2 punishers for a command tank group, 2 squads of vets in chrimera's and 2 seperate wyverns. Knowing the club meta I should do well

and another note, chrimera's while average in game , can take a van door slamming shut on them with barely a scratch

Thanks, being a mahussive Fallout Fan Man, I decided to go with the Blue theme with grey armor on the troopers and yellow details/ranks etc not that they will be seeable yet.

Although since I've magnetized all the sponsons, I am thinking of yellowing the doors behind the sponsons. So the stand out

Pic quality is real bad but got some weathering done on the first chrimera.

First time using weathering powders, and I went with the Tamiya Set A and B for the mud and rust

Cant decide whether to clean the excess rust up or leave it and build it up around the rest of the tank, what do you people think

Depends on how fresh you want them to look? Just off the landing ship or gone through hell haha. I think the blue you useing looks quite regal so only slightly weathered would look good imo.
Nice work btw!

I've gone with the Vault Tec uniform style scheme, so blue grey and yellow unit/rank markings

After 3 long days of work, including today's "Hell Day", painting rivets to "2012's Battleship" was strangely relaxing tonight.

Good progress throughout. I vote for not cleaning up the rust, the beat up looks works well for your colour scheme.

Cool. Do you plan to do any other weathering, like chipping or dirt on the main hull to break up the colour a bit?

EDC

Yh just gotta finish the hull and a few other bits and then i use tamiya mud weathering, personally wont be chippuing this armour as its a relief column not an active battle column
