So I had a chat with the GW bod in town recently and he's added some tidbits for August:
- Ork Codex on the way for August. No mention of kits
- New Khorne Bezerkers box on the way
- Space Wolves are the next SM release. WE should be expecting a box-set kit with either Orks or the Bezerkers

A New Bezerker box seems pretty random. even with their new "no longer tied to the codex" GW's generally not prone to randomly releasing stuff like that

GW already listed Spacewolves and Genstealer Cultists before Orks. Plus we already know that Adepticus Titanicus is being released through August so that is going to dominate.
So yeah very unlikely we will see anything ork related.
Also note most GW store staff are not much better informed than fans are with regard to the release schedule. GW doesn't give store staff much if any warning for stuff upcoming and if the store staff isn't hunting around online for rumours chances are they might even be less informed than some fans.

GW staff seem to get stuff month-to- month at the Manager’s meetings. Possibly a couple of months ahead of the release schedule.
Presumably so the managers can factor in any events they want to run to tie in.

No they didn't. They said Space wolves and Orks, followed by Cult sometime later. All with new kits.
There have been sneaks of a few new Cult kits, which they said would come out before the codex to fill some holes in the range

Ahh got it wrong - I blame all those long ork threads lamenting the lack of ork attention for blinding me to the madness of orks coming last

The most reliable rumour source over on tga, the aos forum, is saying moonclan and maybe darkoath in the autumn with a khorne release in the winter and Slaanesh coming next year. He thinks we will see Angron, flesh hounds and berserkers.

If there is any truth to this, then the only logical explanation is Armageddon. Khârn the Betrayer along with massive World Eater force currently on Armageddon, likely attempting to summon Angron again. Ghazghkull will return to Armageddon to as surely as moth is driven to flame. Hopefully in the form of a primeork. I do think a box set of orks is likely & I hope it is true. I also hope that orks see additional new models. As someone who owns some orks and is interested in owning a plethora of orks, I need to see that the range is properly supported. Currently it is not & that needs to change. it will be interesting to see if Tu'Shan stationed on Armageddon will be able to recover the last of the Salamander relics (Ullanor) in time to save it. Vulcan lives. Lastly, Armageddon had best not be another Fall of Cadia. If the Steel Legion are not represented in a major way going to lose my

So how is your New Eldar Avatar and New Aspect warrior doing?
Having fun with new summer campaing against Angron?
Guys - let's just wait 18th of august - apparently now is calm before the storm of new/upcoming releases GW don't want to spare with.
No wonder GW wants to make european Warhammerfest as good as old Games day.

There’s a blurb of fluff in 8th where the Salamanders stop the World Eaters from summoning Angron again on Armageddon. Wondering how that will fit in with anything, or if it will ultimately be hand-waived or ignored in favor of an awesome campaign.

GW just confirmed that they will be doing a preview seminar at Nova at the end of August. Between Warhammerfest Europe and that we should have a pretty good idea about the autumn's releases by the end of next month.

I could see Orks matched against World Eaters as they have talked up Armeggedon in the fluff a bunch.
But the timetable for August seems s but soon for something like this. Especially since we know Titanicus is coming in August.

It could also be the start of Slaanesh releases, or any number of things for AoS as well.

New kits still surprise me thats all, especially given how there have already been codices released that got nothing new, whilst losing things, and SW did get stuff last year. Orks, I have no idea what shape their range is in.

Orks, I have no idea what shape their range is in. Very poor shape. Most of our models are super old, and you cant actually walk into a GW store and buy an HQ, except for Grukks boss mob (which is a warboss and 5 nobs) and even that kit is going online only I think. The only single model clam pack is a painboy who is an elite. Many models havnt been updated since like, 3rd edition (buggies and trakks, deffkoptas as well now that AOBR is gone). If GW is following the policy of no models no rules then we are in serious trouble currently as most HQs (warboss on bike (only FW), Warboss in mega armor, big mek, big mek with KFF) dont actually have models and those that do (Big Mek with SAG, solo warboss (not grukk/ AOBR), Ghazzy), along with other units, dont have plastic models and with the phasing out of metal and finecast kits (kommanos, big guns, deffkoptas, maybe tankbustas?) means we will be in sorry shape if we dont get a rework to our line.

I have an agreement with my wife that the only models I would buy before the Slaanesh wave hits are Daemon Primarchs; specifically Angron (because I doubt the other ones would arrive before Fulgrim). So I’m good with WE or a full Slaanesh release; either way, I’m getting a Daemon Primarch!

As for timing we know that the new LOTR starter is coming in August and will be released in GW stores not just online. That has been confirmed.
I think Titanicus too or is that still unconfirmed?
That would only leave 2 weekends in August.

Apparently that's what I'm here for! /sarcasm
Anyway the chat boiled down to Space Wolves dropping in August and Ork dex around that point too. Chances are I'm wrong about the Bezerkers but the GW bod said there's a new kit in the works. Might be held off for a later date. I can try hit the shop this weekend to fish about for more info (if there's anything else to go on)

EDIT: and looked what just showed up...
https://www.warhammer-community.com/2018/06/01/codexes-kings-cawdors-and-more/
First and foremost, isn’t it about time we reveal another set of codexes? With Codex: Imperial Knights available to pre-order this weekend, it’s high time we revealed just what’s coming next…
These codexes are two of the most requested, but rest assured, the wait will be worth it – both the Orks and Space Wolves codexes will be absolutely packed with new content for your games. If you’ve been looking on enviously as other factions get their time in the sun, your patience will soon be rewarded.
That post is over 6 months old, it didn't "just show up."
