You are well close to done with your tank, you just have to work on it more is all.

been away doing chores... well i actually think about redoing the hull and tracks to fit the sponsons better... also to better work with cardboard i think... do you think this is wise?

All depends upon how much work do you wish to go through.

hobby time is hobby time... really more important is if i later on will be satisfied with the product...if i continue and see always only the weak spots of the moel then i have wasted my time... if i redo time and time again until i then someday have a fitting thing before me then it was worthwhile...

so should i add the railing there as neil suggested? would that help? or rather the indention to the tracks?

ever the diplomat^^ but i guess you are right on all acounts...will see how i can achieve that... to tell the truth as i know the weight of the sponson i wondered how i could attach the sponson at all to the trackside...the indention/cutouthole will make sure it stays way better in place and also will better fit the weaponplatforms inside the sponsons... atm i think they are a bit exposed...by the way... during the last work i think i aplied a bit of too much glue to one piece of the sponson and thus glueing a tad the film can stiff...i hope i can cut away a bit of the glue of that part to free it... if not the thing will stationarry ... i am a bit fed up with the movability...how on earth shall i prime that anyways?

so i have worked to try to better make the sponsons fit to and with the trackssystem... hope this looks better now...only half of the width now...as seen on the last pic... i cut a complete hole of the size of the sponson and thus sinking it half way in....the railings i will add later...or if someone has any additional ideas for that particular place spit `em out^^

Tha looks great Vik, it really fits well now. Dont worry too much about the sponsons being glued , i glued one of mine shut by accident too. makes it easier to paint actually.
If you do do the railings , sprue seems to work well , although i doubt you need to now its size is halved . Although i do like those cylindrical sprues that come with traditional hobby models , they make great railings . Are you planning on adding plating and rivets ? I posted this link in Shazo tank blog, but it would also be useful to you if you decide to not scratch build your rivets.

that link i too know from shasos blog^^ but i stay with my holepunchset...the railings could be done sweetly with thr roundshaped sprues... i got quite a load from chibi a few months ago...so stock is there^^

i wasn´t the bigest fan of movability in the model in the first place anyway^^ so...^^
i cant figure out how to prime that monster anyway if i wnat movability anywhere... the primer at least would kill that when he touches the parts...and to tape it all and spray each on its own would use up plenty of extra time...

Light spraying of the primer in several coats and then wiggle the sponson guns free after each spritz of the primer to keep it mobile.

Now, the trick is that it is a thing to do for any materials you make your tank from. BUT if you wish to just pose the guns and leave it at that no worries there either. YOU are the maker of this huge tank and you ultimately are it's master.

lol... sometimes it feels tho as if the materials are the master and i am only a servant...how occaisionally gets punished by his tools^^

cool, that airship looks so lifelike... one of the main reasons why i wanted to paint up models was to create such drawings one day myself...like pictures from the old news during the worldwars...

currently i am working on the second sponson... shockingly i am much faster working on that than the first...so progress is being made...hopefuly i can get to work on the mainbody afterwards in some days...
