Not much new stuff from me since the Necromunda adventure, well here's the reason. My first games day last weekend So as a long time dakka-faithful, let me present to you: Rosethron Now Games Day 2006 UK - Golden Demon - Warhammer 40000 Squad Category - Gold Winning Entry A True labour of love, inspired by Dan Abnett's brilliant Eisenhorn Trilogy, and later mentions in the Ravenor Saga. This is Rogue Inquisitor Eisenhorn, more powerful and dangerous than ever before. In a new custom built bionic body, surrounded with a retinue of new and old allies, including those from the warp and those brought back from the brinck of death.

I concur with kyoto, Who's who? I recognize Eisenhorn, specifically because of the staff and the mechanical legs from the last book (nice use of a necron lord by the by). Aemos the lexmechanic is looking "most perturbatory". Cherubael is also quite obvious. Who does the ogre represent? I am asuming the girl in checked costumes is Alizbeth Bequin the untouchable. Looks good. Heres another ribbon for you I presume this took you all of 12 minutes to paint, as usual. (I am not bitter, I just hate you is all... )

Hi, thanks for the comments This is my vision some decades to the future from the books. Eisenhorn is at the height of hiw powers now, and certainly Rogue! He has a new mechanical body to replace the ruined form he was left in, Cherubael is there, the host form showing great signs of decay – in need of a new host soon. Alisabeth is there – dark and mysterious – “alive” in some dark and unnatural way. He has two new henchmen, picked mainly because of the models. I really wanted to play the different physiques within the squad, so a feeble savant and a hulking Ogryn Bone’ead with a massive rotator-cannon the size of other retinue members. Clearly Eisenhorn has rekindled his relationships with the Mechanicus to get so many advanced and not so advanced mechanical/bionic conversions done to him and his team.

I presume this took you all of 12 minutes to paint, as usual. (I am not bitter, I just hate you is all... ) A little more, I must confess! But unlike with army painting, I enjoyed every minute!

With the galaxy as large as it is the odds of the average guardsmen seeing and fighting a marine or MEQ are relatively slim. Unfortunately the guardsmen in your (and anyone else who plays IG's) army are the REALLY, REALLY LUCKY ones that fight marines ALL the time... |

Absolutely brilliant! I'm on the outs with this hobby, but the work of people such as you Migs makes me regret it somewhat! Every model is excellent, with Eisenhorn being my favourite! I love the trilogy, and I also love the Ravenor books, looking forward to number three, with the hope that Eisenhorn may make a cameo (other than his little mention). Chris

I see the overpraise effect in high gear. Migs, your amateurish showing may have impressed the dullards and do-nothings. I am a much harder nut to crack. The piece is not without it's..."charms", such as they are. The fact remains however, that you simply have a long way to go. Keep trying, Migs

Congrats Migs! I was hoping that these pics would show up soon. I'm looking forward to seeing some more detail shots of the characters. The environment is really great as well, a lot of atmosphere presented there.
This looks really brilliant, just a fantastic job. And a gold out the gate at your first GD! Very cool.
