Minor elaboration: to free up Troll Forged and try and speed up the release schedule I'm going to release all my own stuff under Miniatures of the North, my own miniature provider/webstore based in the UK. Should be live for the New Year. My Imperial Redcoats will be the first release.

I don't hide the fact that my sculpts are massively influenced by 40k, they are. In terms of appearance they will probably be taken as Imperial Guard or Mechancius, or whatever, which is fine. IP will be totally avoided at all costs, and is actually desirable for me because I have my own fluff and rule sets in the pipeline which is actually very different to 40k. Future direction will be a mash of 40k, Blade Runner, Alien, Dune etc.etc. The phrase 'more 40k than 40k' keeps invading my thoughts, it's kind of like a re imagining.

Fluff probably isn’t important right now, if you see Techno Communion you should think Mechanicus and I won't insult you by trying to claim it's different. Visually, it's very close.

Stylistically I'm aiming for realistic proportions, not heroic scale. These are practically interchangeable with the Victrix Napoleonic plastic stuff which I'm a huge fan of.

I was planning on doing something similar I was going to call a 'genestealer brute' to continue building my cult army. A carnifex type, but not a carnifex... great start as insaniak said!

In truth: that’s as far as my mail sculpting skills can go. I'll need to cover it with some suitable fluff and hope no one notices (joke).

VERY NICE malika, those look like your best casts yet!

A lot of these guys look great, but can i suggest to give your models a watered down black wash to make the details stand out. Both GW and PP do it to their metal bit lines.

I am going to get some of those wings Shrikes here we come!

Ooooh I love those trolls! I have been looking for nice models to use in my WoC army as trolls, and those hit just the right spot! Those pretty perfectly hit that old fairy tale look I was hoping to get.

When do they get released, do you think?

Those are the best Trolls I've seen yet! They remind me of the Trolls from the Hobbit Animated Movie. I think I just found the perfect addition to my Xmas list

The trolls will take a while since they aren't finished yet. Ed is still busy casting stuff submitted earlier this year. Lets hope Ed will have more time in the coming months, making the releases come faster.

They are indeed a big improvement, but as you can see when luring through the pages of this thread, our sculptors are in a continuous learning phase, so each time they try to learn from their mistakes to become better sculptors.

I had intended to start a mechanicus army but I am going to have to wait until these guys come out. The are looking really nice!
