Hope you're not suffering burn-out from all the painting and sculpting you're doing atm.

well I wish I could do more of it but they keep making me work in work. Eventually I will have to actually voluntarily give up shifts to someone else and do more creative work instead - its by far less soul crushing and it seems fairly popular.

I think I have temporarily lost the will to paint though. I know I really want to but I think I might have to take a holiday to really get going again

An inquisitor arrived in the post today - got the one with the pointy beard, terminator armour and bionic leg. Also I recently got hold of some more oldschool space pirates! Photos tommorow maybe if I can snatch a moment in my annoyingly busy scedule.
Then maybe I will pull a sickie and get something cool painted

Work does have that annoying tendency to want you to work, no consideration at all.

That's a cool inquisitor, be nice to see what you do with him (whenever you do ), and look forward to some more old-skool piwates.

finished the older power armour inquisitor - if you zoom in you can see that this is a very primitive sculpt - its very old so we will let them off - but I think the model is prety cool still

She's back in the saddle Yeehaw! Fantastic paintjob weety, the flames are spot on , but i have to say the award for most original leg greaves goes to weety skeemian 44 for her detailed work on the epic Inquisitor in Powered armour!
he is an ugly chappy though . also nice basing , it ties in to his hair very neatly , the power fist is ver red! would be cool to see a simialr attention to detail as the plasma gun on that crimson fist!

very classic and patriotic scheme...like the flamer too, it looks super.
second the comment of the powerfist too of neil...needs a bit of something there...

also the "fleur de lis" like freehand (?) looks very delicate...

you can be very proud about your paintjob with this rather ugly mug^^ you did him more than justice^^...seeing his "face" he looks like you could call him inquisitor ape lincoln...

neil101 - Re Blue foam, in the Uk its called various trade names, I nicked a packet off of a subby called Roofmate.

If you google blue insulation you should find it. There are a few hobby related sites that will sell small sheets.

Check out Antenociti's workshop, they either have it or link to it. I think.

The blue foam is excellent for modelling from what I hear - much easier to work with than the bobbley polystyrene

The beastmen are old school - one of them is rogue trader and the others are oldschool blood bowl and fantasy ones which I have stuck guns to.

The classic 'one eye not quite the same as the other' sculpting that was popular back then. Ivy turned out well, but the white looks a little flaky on the greaves, can't tell if it's paint or mini. I like the red fist, was thinking you might have done the details in bone, but don't think it would look great with the other colours.

Looking forward to the slaanesh beastmen, seeing a few more of them might get me motivated into pulling out some of mine again. Probably not, but might

I don't know if its the model or the primer - I often have that problem with older minis though

At last my chaos warband has some meat to it. They are not the most carefully painted minis I've ever done but they are the most colourful unit and they didn't take long either.

Your mug should be amongst them - unless it exploded! I'm sure it hasn't but you never quite know until the lid is open. Its quite exciting really - I think it should be cool enough to open by 4-5 oclock

the axewielder is in my opinion the main reason to think they look like a rockband... he looks as if he is about to smash his guitar^^

Heres mugs. I have to confess that I found a few bare patches on em so I added more glaze and put them back in the kiln - hopefully this will work... Results tomorrow evening

looks really good...but with that warm lights around i cant really say for sure what color you´ve used...is the bird still natural?

Nice bunch of kinky goat-peeps too. Like the blue, especially on the hooded guy. Good to see some little conversions in there, now how about starting to drill some barrels out

Have drilled the barrels on the bold pistols, bold pistols? I mean bolt; a bold pistol would give your clothes a whiter than white clean with a fresh fragrance, while simultaneously vaporizing your innards.

They are indeed very very red and shiny! I was quite suprised - its the first time I've done red with this glaze - I might add just a splash of black next time just to tone it down a touch.

if the necromantic flamesword is indeed a flamesword then i suggest a bit of yellow drybrush on the inside edges again...or is it rather a molten lava sword?^^ then the look would fit^^

Mugs in the kiln remember - redoing the glaze cos there were bare patches.

Cant say bold to a britisher without them thinking of fabric washing powder - bloody adverts invade our brains

Like the robes on the 'mancer, certainly have that old-skool feel there, and nice touch of osl on the staff.

Think the sword needs something, it may be the pic but it does look a little flat atm.

I like the brightness of the mug red, suitably orky.

Your Neck romancer is pretty ancient and scary looking, he has some nice details , like the bone runes on his hat.
