In Soviet Russia, Tank rides you!

But yeah, I am really, really wanting the Protectorate Troops and tanks to be made as soon as he possibly can get them ready.

anyway, I would chillax, cus we have a while to wait to matter what. I mean, its going to take a few months just to get the Heavy Infantry and other awesome stuff he's already made to be distributed to the masses, so I would think we would have half a year at the very least to wait.

I know, In a response to a question I had awhile back during the KS, Mark said he also had a light walker and a medium tank planned for the Eisenkern. I can't wait for those. If Mark can make a damn awesome SciFi tank model to match his APC, then I foresee GW's sales of the Leman Russ dropping to almost zero.

I'm generally averse to walkers, but a tank to match that gorgeous APC? Be still my heart. The APC isn't even a price driven choice. Its beautiful and looks like it could actually hold ten guys. If his tank is up to his current standard, I'd be in for a minimum of three.

I'm always down for some Russians. Even more so for space Russians! I say bring them on. Can't wait to see some of the Shadowkesh units either.

One question though, do any of you think it might be possible that we'd get some new weapons for the Kriegsmarines? A proper assault rifle would be kind of nice.

If his APC's are that size already, I'm afraid to think of how big an MBT would be. can't see that cannibalizing russ sales too much; simply no room for an IG parking lot with vehicles that big...

Id say more like a couple years if he keeps the the last known plan. Shadokesh is all but confirmed to be next faction. However, it seems the Protectorate is pulling a bunch of interest, so maybe a change is in order. Also figure that as long as 40k is still alive anything that can be proxied into it will be easy sales, so that would favor Protectorate over Shadokesh as well.

Im tempted to buy 2 IS3 model kits just to build that. With some careful cutting and filling work it wouldnt be that hard.

I don't know if any of you check out the Eldar rumour thread. It had a little tangent about the future big walker that the IG would get... and I say it's already here. Seriously, how can GW turn out something awesomer than the Leviathan, in either scales?

There are plenty of way they can design something with absolutely rhyme reason or sense. Not to mention totally unrealistic in scale or function.

And before I seem to hate bashing, I only second the fact that I doubt they can match what I've read about the amazing way the hydraulics are almost functional on the Leviathan kit.

28mm is about 8.5" posed fully upright; about an inch and a half shorter than FWs Warhound.

The 15mm is supposedly in the realm of 4", but I don't know that it's been seen yet. The resin ones were slightly larger due to material constraints I believe Mark said at one point. What's unknown is how much posability the design retains as it's also been said that it's the same design, just smaller.

If they have a 15mm that's as flexible as its big brother, well, let's just say it will make GW's walkers look a bit sparse.

Sorry if in my pre-coffee state I didn't answer the right question.

There was a very small adjustment to the 15mm, is 95% the same as the 28mm We just needed to make a couple of minor adjustments to deal with the smaller part size and retain durability and the same poseabuility.

Height without base:

8.5" to the top of the shoulder when upright for the 28mm
4.55" to the top of the shoulder on the 15mm

Any resemblance of this post to written English is purely coincidental.

Well, ignoring that you already have taken my money, if it retains all the same features of its big brother, that's one enormous gauntlet getting thrown down to the big boys. I know such things are old hat to Gundam and other mecha enthusiasts, but I don't know of a wargames company that's including that in their kits. I was impressed by how much movement the big one had; the idea of the same thing at just over half the size is just crazy to think about.

Also, hurry up and send the plastic crack WGF!!

Mark... could you be even more precise? 4.55'' leaves a bit to be desired... ;-)

There is something to be said about the suspension of disbelief in futuristic/retro giant robots smashing each other with ginormous weapons, but if you're going to do it, might as well do it right.

Even kits from the 1980s (Battloids and Destroids) had more poseability than "another company's." It's just fitting that Mark made that deal and got us this amazing product.

You can send me the check anytime, Mark...

We have no particular hurry, mate! The world isn't going to end soon. I just took stock of my summer stash of models and it is much lower than I thought. I might even have to *gasp* assemble and paint my Dark Vengeance set.

Given that the Wraithknight seems to be the same height as the Crusader Leviathan, far less bulk, far less customizable, and for far more money, I'd say that time has come and gone.

That is a very lovely and distinctive color scheme. Is it just a random selection to fit an existing army or were you basing it on some historical markings?

In regards to the Wraithknight, yeah, I wasn't expecting GW to make my predictions come true that quickly...and they say that other company has forgotten about customer service!

I'm going to do some tests, and see if rare earth magnets of a size matched to the holes in the DFG bases will hold strongly enough to the Gale Force 9 magnetic bases. If so, that'll be dual duty Eisenkern/IG.

I do quite like the look of the Wraithknight, but when I saw the price, I was shocked. I think I actually said "holy sh**" out loud. Which was exactly what happened when I saw the price on the Slaughterbrute.

Even more reason to support Mark. I honestly thought maybe Eldar would be a neat army to revist, since they were (basically) my first ever, back in 2nd ed. days (when I was a young lad). Looks like, due to insane prices, that ain't gonna happen. Makes me kinda sad.

Get on them Shadokesh Mark! You're our only hope (Obi Mark Kenobi)
