I put my scratch Baneblade on hold for a bit to start a scratch Russ for my soon to be army of tanks.

I want it to look more like WWII tanks and like it was a design carried down from a baneblade.

More this week.

Do not use the CLEAR dice!

Dear Whiny Space Marine Players,
you get 3+ armor saves on all your troops (save scouts), Assault cannons, a huge assortment of vehicles and weapons, arguably one of the best if not THE best tank in the game, funny helmets, and a partrige in a pear tree.

suck it up, space marines. You're the emperor's chosen superhuman warriors. stop whining like a guardsmen and take it like a superman!

Thanks all The tank was designed in illustrator and cut out with a laser. The recessed details are engraved with the laser too. The rivets were done with a "riveter" , it's a tap and die that presses them into the plastic. Micromark sells them. they are a bit pricey but work great.

"Cut out with a laser"? Can you provide a few more details about that process so a few more of us might try to replicate the results? How expensive is this "laser" that you used to do the cutting? I can't imagine its cheap, nor do I think you use this just for personal hobbies, but if that is the case, please let the rest of us in on the secret.

Nice model too BTW.

Sadly laser cutters are not cheap. I think the "hobby version" is $7000. I got mine for hobby, art and biz use. That said you can have stuff laser cut for a fee, there usually is one in every city offering that service.

The only laser cutter I know of is near-by here next to my work that cuts metal.

How do you cut the plasticcard so that you can fit it together at angles? Do you sand it down??? How do you know the right angle to do so? I read you get the card laser cut, do they cut the edges so you can fit angled parts othether?

.Only a fool believes there is such a thing as price gouging. Things have value determined by the creator or merchant. If you don't agree with that value, you are free not to purchase.

In your house, rummaging through your underwear drawer

You could probably do it with a steel ruler and a scribing tool, but you would have to have a steady hand, though.

Nice work so far. I look forward to seeing more.

Heavy drug use long ago stopped my hand from being described as steady. Nah- I hear you brother, but I'm a CAD wiz, so I'd actually enjoy that more

some parts I sand the edges to fit better. The laser cutter is just a time savings, plus when doing 12 plus of the same thing it saves the mind a whee bit.

I do take custom work. Just drop me a line. I'm working on a scratch builders cutting service too.
