OOC:
I've been wrestling with reality for the last few days. Dealing with a number of family issues on top of dealing with some summer courses at college means that I'm busy most days.

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum

Agh, might be maps... Out of date.
Our old home was destroyed, this one is 10 miles or more North of the old site.

Id love some pancakes...

*Marinalia nods*
Sure. Oh, names Marinalia, Princess if your formal.

BIC:

Cpl. Malik: Well then. I'm going to need to contact Command, if we've got Eldar now. I take it they were the invasion?

The only war going on that I was aware of was the 14th Callan Suppression. Damn rebels think they're too good for the Imperium. Been going on for two centuries now, they never learn.

Nope... Just hung in space. The short range radar here not picked up a blip.

Granted its mostly just a navdar for helping shuttle find us, and guide in safely but it detects some incoming..

Sounds like impirium. There's always a war somewhere.

*Jarl gives a cool laugh*
Fiction. No.
My life might be considered it by most though. Only one other like me left in the galaxy.

*calmly explains*
New marines, created by Lord Gulimanand Arch Magos Cawl, bigger, stronger than the original arastes to serve as part of the new crusade.

Young bloods though, fresh out of training mostly.

Cpl. Malik: One times fifteen is... Fifteen. Times by, wait, divided by one hundred is... So there is around 150,000,000 people left on this planet. Huh. And I thought your communications were bad. I was off with my Brigade supressing civilian revolts not too far from here. Saw a nuke go off, and everything went to gak from there.

Guess that's what happens when the Emperor forgets to "protect" your long-range vox. And I did always wonder what was up with these locals doing heretical things with their dead.

Cpl.Malik: One Craftworld, one expended invasion, local area is dead. No external contact, the Navy's gone off gallavanting and now we've either got to wait for some hopefully-already-dead reinforcements, or get ourselves off-world.

Good start to the day.

About 6 miles northwest of here, there is a dropsite for infantry landers. If we're lucky, we might be able to commandeer a small lander.

The Ruins of the Boston Commonwealth

Iris sits on a sofa, snuggled against Horus with a letter in her hand from her best human friend, as they both look over at Quetz, curled around the sofas as usual. nestled in Quetz's scaly palm was a Christmas classic. The Ancient Elder read aloud... "Twas the night before Christmas, when all thro’ the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse." The room was quite for a change, peaceful. ""The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there" Indeed, around the circumference of the living area were arranged many socks. Some were fairly generic like Horus's, others ornate like Iris's, which kept changing color in gentle ripples. Two were home-made, Gharn had sewn two for himself and Dria, his made of leather and hers of white fur.

Thoth sat in an armchair, listening silently with his daughter practicing little spells on his lap while Ra and Huitz dozed on recliners.

"The children were nestled all snug in their beds,While visions of sugar plums danc’d in their heads" read The Great Serpent quietly, looking over at Gharn and Dria, curled up together, fast asleep on the sofa across from them. Iris smiled gently and urged him to keep reading as Morgan preformed the time honored tradition of mistletoe with his love.

"And Mama in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap, had just settled our brains for a long winter’s nap-" he read further, Iris snuggling against Horus and drawing a blanket over herself, yawning slightly as Quetz read "When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.". Morrigan stirred from her sleep, grumbling slightly and rubbing her coal-black eyes as a loud noise awoke her.

"Away to the window I flew like a flash, tore open the shutters, and threw up the sash. The moon on the breast of the new fallen snow, gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below. When, what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a minature sleigh, and eight tiny rein-deer,." Quetz's rumbling voice spoke as the Crow Goddess walked out of her room, tying a bathrobe over her nightgown and racing towards the door.

"With a little old driver, so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick." The Dragon said. Outside, a man looking to be in his early 50s was helping a woman looking about the same age off a sleigh. In the driver's seat say a blonde-haired man with twinkling blue eyes, wearing a ragged red coat and a scarf over his face. He held the reins in his right hand, as his left was only a golden crescent blade. The sleigh was made of solid gold and was pulled by animals that had died out millions of years before humanity had even been a concept in the back of some Archon's mind.

"More rapid than eagles his coursers they came, And he whistled, and shouted, and call’d them by name: Now! Dasher, now! Dancer, now! Prancer, and Vixen, On! Comet, on! Cupid, on! Dunder and Blixem; To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall! Now dash away! dash away! dash away all!” the hook-handed man smiled as Morrigan rushed out and embraced her dear friends, both smiling happily as they hugged her.

"As dry leaves before the wild hurricane fly, When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky; So up to the house-top the coursers they flew, With the sleigh full of Toys - and St. Nicholas too" said the dragon as the Hook-Handed man lifted a large bag over his shoulder. Mergoux looked down coldly from where she was sharpening a dagger on top of the roof, the snow seeming not to bother her, though her arms were bare, tattoo's gleaming in the moonlight.

"And then in a twinkling, I heard on the roof , The prancing and pawing of each little hoof. As I drew in my head, and was turning around, down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound: He was dress’d all in fur, from his head to his foot, And his clothes were all tarnish’d with ashes and soot; A bundle of toys was flung on his back, And he look’d like a peddler just opening his pack:" Marethyu suddenly looked up at Mergoux and waved, a loud clattering coming from behind her startled her, and she turned around. Behind her was a full set of armor, and she new just by looking it would fit her perfectly. Looking back she saw the Morrigan, the two men and the other woman walking towards the door, and for once Mergoux sat back, feeling... content. Not happy, but... content.

"His eyes - how they twinkled! his dimples how merry, His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry; His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow, And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow; The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth, And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath. He had a broad face, and a little round belly That shook when he laugh’d, like a bowl full of jelly: He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf, And I laugh’d when I saw him in spite of myself;"
Quetz read

"A wink of his eye and a twist of his head Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread. He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work, And fill’d all the stockings; then turn’d with a jerk, And laying his finger aside of his nose And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose. He sprung to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle, And away they all flew, like the down of a thistle:But I heard him exclaim, ere he drove out of sight- Happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night." Quetz said as the door opened, revealing the older man and his wide, the Morrigan in her nightgown and the hook-handed man.
Nicholas: Hello everyone! We're home!

*Ciri sits snuggled in bed with Taeria, in one of the high towers in Kaer Morhen. She briefly looks over at her lover, and snuggles closer to her before letting out a sigh of happiness. Down in the main hall Geralt and Yennefer sit drinking, and enjoying the last bits of the holiday feast. Both smile happily, and have yet to argue for sometime. Gradually they make their way to bed, and cuddle with each other for the night.*

*Gaunter watches Aerin cook, and sighs at him.*
Gaunter: You must give it more time, witcher. Let the meat roast, not blacken though...
*Randal nods behind him, almost seeming to appear out of know where.*
Randal: Or you know, just give us your soul?
*Walterr silently steps from a dark corner, already facepalming.*
Walter: Gents, let's give them a day or two without deals or harassment. It's the holidays after all.
*The three grumble, and nod before walking into a dark corner, to visit a dark world.*
