I have invested in some more Titans so Now I will use 2 reavers and 2 warhounds and a baneblade so each time one dies a SW HQ will jump out and get some hand to hand action, (not on himself you dirty buggers)

Just tossing in my $.02...
I LOVE 'Counts As' armies, I have seen some really cool ones. All Kroot Tau army (done up in FCW gear for FCW and Kroot heads in place of crisis suit heads was one of the best, great fluff behind it too)
As for WYSIWYG, as long as things are explained fully and clearly in the beginning of the game, and when deploying, and when I ask "what was that again" it is all good by me. I am just out to play a good game and would rather play a good opponent with a non WYSIWYG army than a poor opponent with an all WYSIWYG army.

I think I want to do an army of all Fairies (like you know, colorful with wings and all sparkly) and play them "counts as" marines

I wholeheartedly support this endeavor and doubly so if you pledge to talk and act like a Fairy while playing with 'em. They'd be a great Tzeench army too.

Wasn't Hardcoil (?) working on a total 'counts as' anime-style army using the Chaos rules? Jin-roh like marines, lithe ballet chicks in giant power armor as terminators, etc.? I remember that from, like, Imperial Dakka, before the dark times...

More like spec-ops marines with custom cast fire-arms, green stuff splinter-cell goggles, ammo packs and such. He really liked the concept but when he got reading the rules, Slaanesh was the closest that could approximate what he wanted to do and when he started playing, the basic game mechainics completely turned him away from GW games. I don't blame him...

Ah, aesthetically speaking then. The Tzsuck of Tzeench is indeed "strong" ruleswise (but an army with two wound troops has a lot going for it, rite? RITE?!?!?)

You lost me at hello. And I think this thread is starting to lose all context. Once we get to page 12 in a thread I feel it is my duty to hijack the thread into new and interesting places.
So, I say we just start over from here:
Rules Vs Aesthetics - The title bout of the Century! (this time it's personal!)
In a straight up match, I say Aesthetics will beat Rules in 4 rounds or less. Aesthetics has more going for it. It's got the style, the experience, and the crowd loves it. Now, in a no holds barred street fight or Iron man match I gotta tip my hat to Rules. It'll be a hard fight, but Rules is a totally different kind of fighter. Rules will set you up and get you into a rhythm and just when you think you got it pegged for a jab BANG! FAQ right in the face.

shhh dont say that to loudly before the MOD lock it, Back to the topic at hand, Its a hooby so it should be pleasing to the eye as its your army. Its only when you play with others do the rules come into it. but by yourself its ok/ Its like some of you may be sitting typing on the comp in your dirty underwear only which is fine if you are that way inclined. If thats aestheticaly pleasing to you than cool. Just dont step out the house like that. Its against the rules unless you live in a commune for the special people/perverts

I have seen some really nice painted armies that dont look anything like they are supposed to for exampl at a tournie I saw an eldar armie that had giant eagles with starcannons and bright lances on there backs representing vypers. they were painted and coverted really well so I had no problem with it.
