I have a degree in Automotive Occupational Science, as well as Volvo corporate training. Was a bumper to bumper tech for 5 years specializing in electronic fault tracing and computer aided diagnosis. I also hold multiple counseling/addiction medicine certifications and have 2 years first line duty in direct client care for the behavioral health system. Which is a nice way of saying I worked at the place where they take you when "that nukka had to get hauled off cause he was eating paint chips". Currently I'm on the dole and going back to school full time to finish my LCSW (social work license) so that I can get into behavioral health care administration. Screw direct client care, been assaulted by clients and had to clean up feces too many times.

No seriously though im a dolphin trainer.

I chase haggis around the hills in the highlands and i catch them with a net. They have one leg shorter than the other so they can run circles around hills faster.

Do they all run the same way, or do some run in the opposite direction? I can imagine some Sympatric Speciation there, where long-legged-lefties won't breed with long-legged-righties and eventually they turn into two (probably warring) separate species.

I do that too, in Hackney. I am also in charge of a year group. I have a convicted murderer in my year group. Luckily, he is in (kiddie) prison, so he never actually turns up.

Come February I'll join the hord of students again (still not giving up on a job at the same time though).

And after a few years I intend to become a programmer, preferably in games, but I'm realistic enough that I'll take whatever I can get.

I *have* got an interview coming up for a job at Apple soon, mind, so that should be a little better if I get it.

Until you get your umpeenth customer in one day saying "My Ipad won't work" or "My iphone is broken, waaaaaaaa!"

"Ok have you recently charged the battery up?"

"It has batteries!?"

Friend of mine had issues with her iphone and we were sat there for about 15 minutes as her phone was rebooted and updated off their computers, I kid you not someone DID go in and was unaware her Ipad needed charging!
We asked the woman who was heling us about this and she said it happens more times than we could ever believe.

The job (if I get it) will be back of house, for this exact reason. I'm not great with people.

Shocking, I know.

I graduated from law school almost 14 years ago, and this is my 7th professional job in that time period (not counting working for myself)...and the first one where I actually like the pay, hours, work and co-workers, all to a high degree. (Mind you in a couple of my previous jobs I liked 3/4, but never 4/4 all the time.)

I'm a decision write for Social Security, and for a guy right out of law school, it's a great job. 40 hours a week, good pay, stress free work, and a great work crew.

Interesting...did they bring you in as a GS-9 or a GS-11? Did you do your training in Falls Church, or did they send you somewhere else?

Being an Attorney-Advisor for SSA is a very nice job. Stick with it as long as you can. Who knows, in 7 years you can try to become an ALJ.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.
