I graduated from law school almost 14 years ago, and this is my 7th professional job in that time period (not counting working for myself)...and the first one where I actually like the pay, hours, work and co-workers, all to a high degree. (Mind you in a couple of my previous jobs I liked 3/4, but never 4/4 all the time.)

I teach music (choir, band and orchestra) on a military base.

I'm a decision write for Social Security, and for a guy right out of law school, it's a great job. 40 hours a week, good pay, stress free work, and a great work crew.

I work in the city archives of Antwerp.

Student doing a double major in philosophy and history. All while working on my masters in education. It's a weird system, the grad school of education here is concurrent with your bachelors stuff.

Eventually I would like to get a doctorate in philosophy and become a professor in a university. But that's a long ways off.

Student. Right now all can tell for sure is Science. I like both Math and Medical the best. I doubt doing both would have much benefits though. I'll figure out what eventually.

Other than that I have had plenty of joe jobs before, but nothing I would call a career.

OT:

I'm a culinary student.

4.0, son! If I graduate and end up doing nothing related to my field of study I will consider the gravy that I am now able to make to be well worth the tuition. It's also why I have to sweat so much at the gym.

Part of the management team at the local shop, mainly as its a family buisness.

It's doing well knocking in about 30K a week, which allows me to earn nearly double any salary I've had up until this job.

I run the orders/pricing and cover three night shifts to lock up. It can be a hassle, annoying at times, but in general it means I'm near my Mother alot, and my middle brother and his family, and we have plenty of fun.

I also get some time online each shift if I want, and still get all the work I need to get done. Pretty much ideal job for me at the moment.


Basically I am happy to stay here for as long as it takes to get published as my long term goal is to earn a living as a author.
