If he were to write an eldar novel, I would personally make it a bestseller.
It subscribes to the idea that the Alien mind is unknowable and should remain so. However, the eldar were pretty cool in "Ghostmaker".

I love a lot of these books but my absolute favorite is Necropolis mainly because i freaking love cityfights, Cadian Blood and Gun Heads are a close joint second.

It must be so difficult to write a decent Eldar novel, and as for Orks, well what could you write about? The only thing driving them is their love of fighting. Now that the new DE are out Ive got my fingers crossed for a novel about them, it would be realy cool learning about the port of lost souls. I loved the short story in Tales of Heresy about SW v DE. The Space Wolves absolutly annaiolate them!

Never read that one, Titanicus but it just seems a little drawn out from the story, least from the little skim through. Seems like alot of it takes place inside the titan. Though dont listen to me I've not read it completely. Got a spoiler ?
Read nemesis by any chance ?

Just putting it out there, I tried reading the first HH novel (dont even remember the name) and it made absolutely no sense, it put me off the entire horus heresy series.
Later, I came back, picked up the same book, thinking I might have just been stupid that day, and the book still made no sense.
I gave it one last chance, and skipped to a random chapter, which obviously I would have no idea what it was talking about, but still, the book made no sense, not even grammatical. Idk what everyone else thinks, but that part at the start about the ...space wolf laughing about how "he" killed the emperor or something?! what is that!
It portrays the space marines as some kind of bikey gang / barmen who drink bear, fart, shoot automatic rocket launchers and team kill each other!

Horus Rising is an amazing book! That is a Lunar wolf Tarik toragaddon I think, I can't quite remeber, talking about when he was there when Horus killed the emperor of a World that is under compliance. Its not about killing the actuall Emperor. I don't think you got into the story enough, it doesnt portray the space marines as you say some kind biker gang, they are noble, reserved, honrable and well spoken. It is the perfect start to the series, Ive read every book in order, and I recommend reading them that way. Its such an epic saga. Who says Star Wars is the best sci-fi saga going? Its a load of bull compared to the Heresy.

Wow, thats a lot of options! This is definetley a hard chose, but I am going to have to go with the first book in the Eisenhorn trilogy. It was the first black library book I read, and about 15 books later, I think it is still the best.

The Eisenhorn omnibus had me captivated from cover to cover. One of the best of books from BL i say. Though ime torn between that and Nemesis from the HH.
Gotta read Mechanicum and A Thousand Sons next.
Though any thoughts on the Grey Knights Omnibus ?

Hey man you forgot ... actually, no you didn't
I voted Daemon World. Excellent story, excellent characters and a true insight into the feelings of a Slaanesh worshiper.
I see a lot of love for Fulgrim, as an Emperors Children fan I was left really disappointed by this. Didn't seem to do enough justice to their fall. I really preferred the IA, WD and StD take on this over the book.

Thats a shame, nearly all those books are really good and written well enough to create some good imaginations. Such good visuals of the 40K universe.
You should try one, one of the HH series for a start.
