.... Mine starts with a short story about his first action... "Fight or Flight" and the first 3 books of the series.

I liked it for exactly that reason, nice for the bad guys to win for a change!
I would like to put a call out for the original Space Marine novel, surely the most influential of all time, and now no longer at the whims of ebay sharks thanks to the digital printing service

Thousand sons has some twists to it that was a little odd.
Any one else read it and found it the same ?
The connection with the dawn of war omnibus and the thousand sons novel, there are characters from both.
Wonder is there any sort of connection between the two books. Between the shared character.
I dont wanna spoil it for any one so

"We are the wolf that stalks
The stars in the sky
And swallows the star-fire
We hide amongst the night
When light is gone
The Light is within us
We run the ruin of Fire
In the darkness
Foes burn in our passing "
"The weak will always be led by the strong. Where the strong see purpose and act, the weak follow; where the strong cry out against fate, the weak bow their heads and succumb. There are many who are weak; and many are their temptations. Despise the weak for they shall flock to the call of the Daemon and the Renegade. Pity them not and scorn their cries of innocence - it is better that one hundred innocently fall before the wrath of the Emperor than one kneels before the Daemon." |

JB: I like the concept of a free Shrike roaming through the treetops of the jungle. I'm not sure that I like the idea of a real Shrike sitting on my couch eating my Skittles.

greenskin lynn: because of all the skittles and soda, you basically live off sugar water, like some sort of freakish human-hummingbird hybrid. |

I was realy confused with the bit at the beginging and the end. Is it Magnus or Ahriman speaking, or someone completely different

I just finished Soul Hunter and was blown away by it. So very different from almost anything I've read before in the 40K universe (and - up until I saw this whole list - I thought I had a fair chunk of it, when in fact I've probably only read a quarter to a third of those). Anyway, Demski-Bowden has rocketed to the top of my 40K author charts and I can't wait to read his sequel in the spring!

If you like that idea you should read Blood Quest 2, or Hammer of Daemons. both are set on Chaos daemon worlds inside the eye of terror.
