Went ahead and he's now just lacking a nice base....

Marine painted.
Markings and chapter badge added.
Highlights/washes done.

Awaiting complaints... oh wait someone liked him Thanks inmygravenimage
May I distract you all with the cloak? Right, don't look elsewhere to find flaws

Basically a plastic fig, composed of spare bitz.
Colors used:
- Fortress Grey, codex grey, shadow grey, skull white,
- dheneb stone, kommando khaki, bleached bone,
- scorched brown, bestial brown, gryphonne sepia wash,
- dark angels green, snot green,
- tin bitz , boltgun metal, badab black wash,
- chaos black, scab red
- metallics not GW...

As codex chapter, I think he's a veteran Sgt of 4th squad.
Isn't a lonely marine, has some friends on bikes. But he's used to drive on the correct side, so its better he walks...

May sit there and watch YOU guys painting yours...
Until I have to do the base.

It is a most impressive list of chapters for such a short period of time, lets just hope everyone finishes their model. I should be able to start on my marine over the next couple of days. I'm looking forward to painting a marine which isn't a Black Templar a change of colours should do me some good.

It amuses me that I can always find a Space Marine in my bits box. I was worried I'd have to buy one off ebay for this project, but I've found an unopened blister containing a Tactical Marine with Heavy Bolter.

Now, am I brave enough to attempt fitting the metal Heavy Bolter to the mini or shall I just dig around for a bolter...

EDIT - The Heavy Bolter was a non-starter (it would fit over the chestplate that came with the mini - I should take it back and demand a refund ), but I've found some spare arms and a bolt gun. Can't find any poxy backpacks though

EDIT 2 - Huzzah! I found one in the loft

Made a start on my Eagle Warrior. Pic a bit blurry, but I only have a 5 mega pixel camera to work with It will look neater when I've finished (probably), but not sure I would have the patience to paint an entire army this way.

EDIT - Need to take it in natural light I think!

Despite my having no experience in shipping stuff across the ocean, if no one else is yet doing it, I'll put my hand in for Space Sharks!!!!! once I get back to my modeling supplies, currently sitting on a desk several counties away for another good week. If nothing else, this should at least prove interesting.
