Alright, got a mini assembled. Wasn't sure if I'd have legs and a base for him, but thankfully both came in a bitz baggie I got on the cheap on Ebay.

Unpainted photo - I still have some cleanup to do and mould lines to get rid of :/

He'll be painted black, gold, grey and a little bit of gunmetal, on a desert base. Feel free to add me to the list with my homebrew chapter - the Order of the Talon.

Also, PM me the address to which I should send him to once I'm finished painting.

Introducing Exemplar-Borther Remiel, my contribution to the Conclave! He would have been a member of my Command Squad had he not volunteered for extended duty in the Conclave.

He should be in the mail tomorrow.

Is the Conclave still open to submissions or is it closed?

Okay, I assume it is still open. I'd like to grab the Emperor's Spears before anyone else does.

I haven't had the chance to send this fellow yet, so I've spent some time fixing details and highlighting. It looks better IRL, the camera somehow managed to catch some blunders that are otherwise pretty much unnoticeable.

I find army painting tedious, so I paint single figures for the fun of it.

Okay, here are a few photos of the Space Wolf (who appears to have mounted Symphony in Orange, No. 1 atop his bolter... I wish I were a better painter ) Also, to briefly spam this thread: I've kinda run out of paints so I'm eBaying here a few OOP miniatures I'm unlikely to ever have the time to paint (including a copy of Space Crusade with almost all of the miniatures still on their sprues )

It's been quite - too quite - I was beginning to think everyone had forgotten to post in their work! Like what I see, hopefully a few more will now be forthcoming.

@Smurf, we definitely need to start an Article on these it would be easier to see the Marines. I'll start it and place a link in the thread. You can then add in the Pictures.

http://www.dakkadakka.com/wiki/en/New_Space_Marine_Conclave_-_Dakka_Charity_Project

To add photo's into an Article Smurf, you need to up load it to Dakka, open the picture, and then copy the bottom most link and paste that into the Article. Normal picture insertion does not work in articles, you have to follow this procecure (but it is very simple).

I will create another article for the Pre-heresy Conclave.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!

I use a sheet of A4, which you bend by in nice curve by weighting the bottom left and right corners then put something tall behind it. It forms a nice continuous graded white background, then put a light source above left and above right, then use a tripod to steady the camera with no Flash (Flash is awful) and set the camera up nicely then hit the 3 second delay and take my hands off and wait...bingo nice picture. Example below.

Simple but effective, all it takes is a Tripod, a piece of A4 and a desklamp.

Look at the bottom right to the piece of A4 and my tanks...This is how it looks once uploaded

I am away until mid Jan from mid December so should we say end of January 2012?
Gives everyone plenty of time and also time over the holidays

Hope this suits all

What's the latest smurfwedge? Have you got everything yet? There doesn't seem to have been much activity lately and if I'm not mistaken the deadline is looming.

With the deadline looming a little close. How is everyone going?

Also Smurf, put me down for another Marine. I have a spare Salamanders Terminator.

@Smurfwedge- Yes, I agree an Extended deadline is probably necessary.

Here is the spare Salamander I was talking about. I just finished touching it up now; added some weathering and a freehand symbol and now he is ready for the conclave.

here he is.

I sould be sending him and the others of sometime soon Smurfwedge!

I hope everyone is still up to this as it's for a great cause!

Thought I should report back

Well... I have the Thousand Sons Marine ready to paint.

And my brother can spare the daemon creature thing he previously posted, but I have actually lost my Salamander guy completely. It's really annoying as well, since he was completely finished.

Also, I'll be sending the Pre-Heresy Word Bearer along with them as well, as soon as the 1k Son is finished.

@smurfwedge: Well, my Space Wolf for this conclave (and my Space Wolf and Blood Angel for the pre-Heresy conclave) have been finished for a few months

Unfortunately, I haven't had the time since before Christmas to make any progress on the other contribution to this conclave I PM'd you about (I'm trying to re-sit an AS-/A-level ) – if the deadline is extended I might – might – be able to finish it, otherwise my contribution will be just those three aforementioned 'Marines and that other contribution will have to wait 'til the next conclave

I really like that Salamander. Very different from than usual, almost Dark Angel-esque.
