That said, I did make it to yours for a visit very briefly, perhaps you could return the favour?

It's my patent-pending Cross and Column method, using crisscrossing trenches that go to the desired depth, creating a grid of 3x3 columns that are perfect for either one-man, minimal movement digging, or optimum TNT usage.

Has there been an established "class" or chassis of the titan yet?
A giant Warhound looks dynamically different than an Emperor.
I have several silly designs of weaponry, but then the Titan got a super-sized upgrade.
I'll provide the materials for the weapons myself; I have a decent store of redstone and such.
Either way, I'll head over to the quarry often when I need more cobble and coal which will be often.
Well, let's think about what weaponry could be created without mods.
Dispensers allow for rapid and barrage-style turrets, loaded with either Arrows, Snowballs, Eggs or Throw Potions (which can be Poison, of either long duration or high strength, Weakness, or Slow). Then you have TNT Cannon, of various descriptions- from near vertical launchers to near horizontal.
We could have captive Snow Golems as Machine Spirit turrets, and piston-powered Lava chutes.

A warhound would be easiest, but waaaaay small. I think an Emperor class is doable. And if anyone can get a hold of a 3d model of it, we can run it through binvox and viewvox to draw up exact plans for it.

Aside from simple size, there are drastic stylistic differences between the two.
The Emperor has cylinders for feet and large upper cathedrals that have to be accomodated for. The Warlord is basically the same style as an Emperor but smaller.
The Warhound and even a Reaver have no upper castle.
The Warhound has a "chicken leg" design where it's standing on its toes and the ball of the foot.
Princeps 4oursword needs to suggest which STC to use.
I believe we said Mars-Pattern Imperator, I put an image a few pages back.
For weapons, I believe that one TNT cannon on one arm, an arrow gatling gun on the other, an airburst arrow launcher (see ) on the carapace and a couple of snowball and arrow guns there too.
I don't like the idea of lava chutes though. You my be able to convince me otherwise.

Airburst might be annoying, but we could use dispensers to fire the arrows at the TNT before setting it off.
Snowmen would be too far off to do anything but stand about unless they were put in the ankles and feet. Lava chute maybe as a defense against creepers and such if they swarm at the feet. If anything these weapons are likely going to be for show and not how effective they are.

I could do this by using a glass clock, basically pistons will move a ring of blocks around, each pulse moves the clock, at a certain point a solid block gets moved where power can go through it and fires the cannon.
Automatically Appended Next Post: So this "plan"for mining the area seems to have no basis in reality
the whole area is a maze of pits and random blocks because any underground cave creates inpassable pits and islands of blocks you can't reach
nothing is cordined off, and at varying heights, if the whole grid was leveled one block at a time it would have worked great, but with some areas down to bedrock and some still at ground level there's millions of random deathpits.
i'm working on mining, but this is needlessly complicated

It makes sense. Granted, the sheer number of caves (and people just mining around willy nilly) has made it a little less perfect than it could be, but the system works.
Trenches are cut first. Then all you have are 3x3 columns. Those can easily be mined by a single person without needing to run around everywhere, or you can use TNT in the center to blast away. It's not layer by layer, but rather column by column. None of the columns are isolated, all can be reached through short jumps, and I'm doing my best to make certain none of the floaters stay around.

I understand the logic, but you can't quanitify like 90% of the digging in 4 words
what should happen is that you map out all the trenches, 1 block deep, and then everyone digs them evenly with a centeral point to climb down with a side tunnel and ladder or something. as people join up, they run around and cut the whole area down 1 block at a time, it seems like people just picked what spot they wanted and started digging pretty randomly.
this way you dont have half the area cut down 20 blocks, some of it randomly intersecting cut down all the way to bedrock, floating blocks all over the place, ect.

To be honest, the deep digging is mostly me. The original concept was Anvildude's but as often I've been the only digger, I begun to adapt his system.

And I did start it out with even trenches, but had to adapt as everyone (with their diamond picks, so going too fast for me to really stop) started digging trenches one by one.
I'm working on fixing them all down, though.

I started as well, basically just picking a high spot, and mining the entire area down 1 brick at a time, as it slowly lined up with other areas, i started mining those down as well so the area slowly expanded until I logged off
supply area is pretty much done, i'm going to make some beds for upstairs for everyone and it should be good to go

So you guys want a deep pit for the titan to stand in that goes all the way to bedrock, but have figured what the titan will look like? you could try building a scale model or have a reference picture in this post to get an idea of what it will look like.
I think we'll worry about that when the pit is cleared. I'm going to Germany soon, so this'll be my last post.
Bye!

Due to it's footprint being a square and it having two feet, the logical solution would be to have it face the desert near to the pit because of the pit's shape.
