We will have to set up a mine somewhere just for this project, so we can bring up enough material to build it.
Also, enchantments should help. If I remember correctly, their is one which speeds up mining times.
EDIT: Just got the lab co-ords from dark:
x: -2062
z: 1537
He said it is in the lower left of the map, just incase the co-ords are wrong. (From what I know of how the co-ords work, I think they are correct for lower left)

There is and it is funny to get the lvl 3-4 version of it on a gold shovel.
Aim at ground, it explodes and dirt everywhere.

That's true, isn't it. We could also simply use mold and pour methods as well, so as not to burn through your time and diamond.
I say whatever else, the leg armour and toes should be obby, if only for the Creeper-proofing.
I'll help with the amphitheatre if you need.

So how big are we shooting for?
1:1 scale, 55 blocks tall?
2:1 scale, 110 blocks?
Or even 3:1, at a total of 165 blocks tall?
Also, I have a portal set up in the nether near to arcadia portal, it's a hell of a trek to get through it but it serves it's purpose.

Well, it can't be more than 2:1 Scale, as we have only a 128 box between bedrock and skylimit.
I think 2:1 is sensible.

Is it 128? Why did I think it was 200...
Anyhoo, 2:1 it be then.
How large is it's foot going to be then?

Well from bedrock (if you somehow found some flat bedrock) to the skybox is 128 so a 1:3 scale is litterally impossible
1:2 would mean mining out huge pits just to fit it.
1:1 would look crap.

Yeah, 2:1 and will be housed within an ampitheatre which will stretch right down to bedrock.

someone needs to start filling chests with gunpowder
I have about 3 double chests in sand i could donate to the cause, pending I dont need them to blow a hole in the earth for the palace of terra (I could relocate this project to near the titan if there's a ton of room)
I can provide a ton (literally, a ton) of gold to the cause as well however it makes gakky tools =/

Just mining the area will take over a week, you will need more space than goodas hall and at equal depth... Grundz save your gold for enchanting, it's the most enchantable material by far.

Exactly. At first concentrate on just clearing the topsoil. TNT is unpredictable on dirt, but clears a nice 3x3x3 area of solid stone (and that is by far the most efficient way to use it- not in big blocks).
Once you get the topsoil, start going down in the center area to the depth you want, then go up from there in a staircase- best bet is to first dig a shaft of the rough size the Titan will need to stand on, then stairway out all four ways from that.
After that, it's just a matter of clearing the remaining filler. I suggest the quarry method, whereby you dig 1 wide trenches in a grid all across the area you need to clear- down to the proper depth all the way- then take out the 'columns' that are left one at a time.
