Thank you all!
I am currently waiting for the last Eldar guardian heads to arrive. When they are in, a tuturial will be on the way!
Also the minigunner are being painted at this moment. When they're finished they will be in the next post.

Very nice, Develain! Very clean painting. I think you've captured the look of the cartoon very well.
By the way, how is the clone trooper conversion tutorial coming?

Not really making progress on the tutorial lol.
All the clones are almost finished. But I do need a couple more helmets to make, those are the things that need most conversion work anyway.
So a helmet tut. is on the way. Sorry about the rest of the trooper. I will see what I can do for you all.

I must say, your models capture the look and feel of the animated clones. Well done so far.
Just a few questions: 1) How did you decide upon using Grey Knights for the codex count-as? 2) What did you use for the gatling gun barrels? They look like parts from a revolver or something.

1) Grey kinght codex has a Henchmen section. I am using Warrior acolytes (somekind of inquisitorial guardsmen)
2) Gatling guns are mostly scratchbuilt out of plasticcard/tube.

Thanks guys.
Alright tutorial time! sort of.. haha
Never done a tut. before. Unfortunately I can't do a complete trooper, simply because I don't have enough parts left!
But I am going to try and do my best anyway!
The helmet:
Made it in 8 steps:
1) I took an Eldar Guardian head, removed all the gems and other shenanigans that were on the helmet. Filed it down so it looks smooth. ( I use a very fine file, always gets a smooth surface afterwards)
2) Cut of the tip of the (cone) head with a scalpel or other sharp hobby knife.
3) File the head round, so that you get the basic helmet shape (used the same file as above)
4) I filled in the recess (face) with Revell Plasto (some sort of filler, very fine but dries in 15 mins hard) I make sure that the whole face is filled and no holes will appear when filed down.
5) Use a heavier file to remove most of the plasto once it dried out ofcourse. Afterwards use the finer file to get a smooth finish.
6) I cut 4,5 mm strips out of a 2 mm wide strip. File the end of each strip in a round shape. Add a rivet cut from a 1 mm plastic rod to the strip, add to the side of the helmet.
7) Here comes the hardest part. Putty. (For the record I don't use clay shapers or any other sculping tools, I only use my fingers and a hobby knife for the troopers.)
So just slap some milliput on there. I use my index finger with a little saliva (I know it's gross but it works the best, because it dries pretty fast and it's never too wet and messes up your sculpting) cut it in shape you want. I know this sounds pretty easy but this is something you teach yourself and practice makes perfect ofcourse. After it's dried you can file it to make up for your mistakes.
8) Do the same as above, slap putty in a sort of line as the basic shape is. Take your hobby knife and cut it into a strip. I used my fingers to make sure it is straight in the middle. Afterwards you can file ofcourse to make it look even smoother.
So thats about the Helmet.
I did find a set of unused DE warrior legs:
Going to break it down in 2 steps here:
1) Take the set of legs and remove all spiky bits with a hobby knife like I did with the helmet, and file it down.
2) The knee pads are quite simple. Little bit of putty on there and shape with fingers.
About the Arms and Torso. I don't have a single arm of torso left! So sorry about that. I could try and tell you how I did it but without pictures it's quite useless..
And now I wont get any copycats or clones! haha!
Anyway this was my first sort of Tutorial. Hope you liked it.
If you have any more questions, feel free to ask me anything.

Nice work,
I like how everything came together. I am more early Star Wars but this Cartoon match up looks great.
Can I offer some suggestions?
You can convert IG Sentintals into Walkers, Jedis can be your Terminators (larger base means better poses and landscape).
and make special Characters count as HQ, Like Bo Bo Fet, Jaba the hut, the Neneral, or the empirer.

The Good: 8,000
Ultramarine, Scouts, Blood Angels, Dark Angels
The Bad: 8,000
Chaos, Daemons, Dark Eldar, Orks

Thanks Guys!
I am getting the parts to make the canopy for the gunship next saturday. That means I can start finishing the gunship soon.
@ Rogue Wolf: I don't have a chast piece left.. I can try to explain how I did it.. if you want to know so bad let me know
@ Supplydrop: Thanks, but I don't require more models or parts for this army
@ Adrian: Thanks for the input. Walkers are not an option for me in this army. The army list is finished.
I already have a Jedi modeled up as my HQ (Libby).
Boba Fett is still an infant in the Clone wars, Jaba would make a good nurgle daemon, so doesn't really fit in with the theme of this army lol.
Don't know what the neneral is and the emperor(?) is the chancelor of the republic in the Clone Wars ofcourse.

I approve of this. Most excellent. Automatically Appended Next Post: Will you have some Commandos. They would by the stuff from star wars background have heavier armor then the normal trooper.

If I ever make a DE force, it will include the classic warriors.
