Must of not of spotted them then, nice to see that someone other than me still has airfix models.Anywayhave you thought about artillery for the DKoK yet? From my meagre fluff knowledge I can recollect that they are quite big fans of static guns.

These are only 70% finished, still need to do a lot oil paint and pastel work, but they are starting to come together nicely, I'm really happy with the blue grey colour, I topped it off with a turquoise filter that brought out the blue perfectly, more pics on my blog, all comments welcome.

This tank looks ALOT like Rise of Nation 'light tanks', also looks meaner than Leman Russ should actually be meow.

Hi guys, haven't done much hobby stuff lately, was going to do some painting today but it's been to hot over the last couple of days, so decided to do some work on my long neglected 15mm Tau army.
I was originally going to use Khurasan Felids as the basis for my Tau (see link below)

However I have returned to my original choice, CMG Ygs, these are nearly finished, I have 25 fire warriors and 5 stealth suits, the fire warriors just need better weapons and some small details added, the stealth suits need shoulder armour, helmet and some small details, I am thinking of turquoise and white with some orange details as the colour scheme. This... is... insane! By far one of the coolest things I've seen in awhile. That is some incredible puddy work there and I am happy to say very innovating. You have inspired me sir!

Edit: I was too distracted by the Marines and Tau to say that the tanks are phenomenal! Really love the look and the mud on the tracks.

Lol, that would be cool, you only need to make 2 sides and you will always have an opposing army, I'm just a megalomaniac and have to attempt making multiple forces, but the same rule applies, I will always have opposing sides, so you can supply your friend with an army to use.

So... you kind of inspired me to work on trying to convert the 40k rule set to a 15mm scale. If you or anyone else who follows this tread are interested in helping, I'd love some advice and critiques on my ideas.

This thread was a pleasure to read. Your sculpting skills really progress as you go through it. I love the DKoK the most, the command figures and tanks especially.

I would love to see some battle shots on terrain. Maybe even a battle report??

If you find you don't want to do all that GS work, there are still some 15mm figures that can look like 40k equivalents with the right paint job.

Hi guys, just an update with some more conversion work, have added some heavy weapons, Tau rifles, antenna, not sure about the stealth suits, I feel they are to top heavy, some questions
1) should I add the antenna to the backs of every trooper? Or just commanders?
2) do the stealth suits pass muster?
3) is there anything else I can do to these to make them even more Tau like?

About rules, man, realistically couldn't you use the current 40K rules? Maybe half the distances, and template sizes... But, flyers, and artillery could really stay the same with movement, and ranges...

While I wait to source some Tau parts for my Titans I thought I would get the basic build together on the grey mech, I changed the legs to a dog leg config by cutting in the middle of the shin and pinning, and filled all the hollow parts with miliiput and gave all the joints dust covers, the weapon arm is sourced from one of the Khurasan L-HACs, bottom shot shows the standing pose.
if anyone has Tau spares they don't need, please PM me
