Regular honeybees though? Why would anyone be scared of them? They're not even very aggressive away from the hive. I'm kind of surprised at the people ITT being negative about them.


Do you have any phobias? They don't have to make sense. That's why they're irrational fears. I fear bees (including wasps) and raccoons. It's irrational to some, rational to others. I got chased by a rabid [see forum posting rules] as a kid. I stay away from them. Bees are fast, they can hurt you if they want, and if memory serves me correctly, honey bees and killer bees look almost identical. Best not to take chances. They're called "killer" for a reason...

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.
