ONCE AGAIN AN AMAZING WORK !!!!!!1!
I just relish your approach to weathering it some how seems so realistic I love the homemade flamers what a cool idea count that as stolen
The chains are a great idea you can just see theses smashing the mutants and zombies as it drives through the horde.
Please tell me the Micky is a stencil I have to be honest I am not sure if I like or don't like the cheques the corrugated sheeting has turned out perfectly

cheers Dirty Dog, the weathering is simply the 'HEAVY' use of dry pigments...........;WARNING' when using dry pigments they get every where!............keep'em confined to a box or area when your working with'em they love cloths! carpets! floors!........and more! the tires have a simple wash of tap water and pigment, then when dry, rub off the excess leaving the pigment in the recess, the Flamers are the innerd's of pens.................I've completely forgotten what you call'em!...........you know the bit with the ink................what are they called now? the chains are LEGO chains i love'em so cheap and a great size, i will use a lot more, the cheques i think help to break up the Red? i happy with'em plus it's all good airbrush training! and yes the 'Micky' is a stencil more airbrush, i can imagine there was a big Disney advert there before it all went to pot! the corrugated cardboard worked out very well.... just be careful to seal it with plenty of paint first before using any washes mixed with water. it's paper at the end of the day!.............it rots! cheers AL

I thought I had replied to these pics never mind here goes AWESOME!!!! love the use of weather powders the walkways and stairs look great the buildup of dirt and dust is so realistic
I also thought the wire meshing al ragged and twisted was well done sometimes it looks to neat yours looks used bashed and pulled at I will be using that approach on my Apoc cars.
Talking of which I have spent nearly 2 weeks looking for a 1/48 ish scaled double decker bus with no prevail as I was so inspired by yours I thought I must have one but can I find one in that scale not for love or money

Was wondering on whether you were just using the rig or the trailer too. Guess that means you're using the trailer as some kind of firebase.....

Are you going to leave the trailer complete or cut it down at all ?
I am kind of hoping the later as I think you do such a great job with the mesh it would look great on this, I think you are going to,have to start populating your vehicles soon though

ok, got the kit today..............and it's....aarrh...... different ............. i've never had a snap tite kit before, and well it's very simple and basic kit, it's nearly all pre-built which you may think helps......but not so when it comes to cutting the kit apart!
i'm gonna have to take a step back and think hard on this, mainly because the main bits i want to trim are very integral to the structure of the whole frame.......hmmmm :coffee:
yes! that's the tyres!

Totally missed that giant SnapTite logo in the corner of the box.
Yeah, snap kits can be a pain for those who like to chop their kits into tiny pieces and re-assemble them in a different order. The cab being all one piece is a real bummer. Although in some ways it makes it more interesting to see what you can come up with.....

Well hard to tell with your work till the paint hits, you have taken off more than I thought you would have done with the trailer but still looking forward to how it turns out.
Have you considered heating the cab to add some dents to it, I just imagine it does a lot of running down mutants and zombies alike.

Dog.......yep.... had to do more to the trailer then expected due to the thick........insert..... 'very' thick plastic! a right pain to work with, the more i tried to work with it the worst it looked! in the end rip it off use good old cardboard! the up-rights will get x-bars to act as hand rails for the gun crews. the cab.......................... heating? i don't know? if i screw it up, (what with this plastic) i could lose the whole cab? plus there's not much left as it is. the engine is a spare from the bus kit............and really gives it a over-sized engine look, which i like. cheers AL Gun crews?...........just writing that has given me a new idea weapon wise?..............maybe its time for a............. ...........cannon!.................or two!................cheers Dog, you've done it again!

Sorry to hear the easy-snap-on is proving harder to work with than you expected (I guess the designers did not have you particular take on the build in mind when this was on the drawing board!
It'll surely look great once you are done with it!
As for the heating issue, I guess it was meant some localized heat more than the whole cab: bringing a soldering iron tip or a blow torch (there are both crafts and bakery models for sure, maybe more too), or just getting a pre-heated metal bit close and/or touching it - depending on the desired effect, some try-outs on spare plastic might be advisable - could do for great effects.
You could do that to the wheels as well - pressing the ground-side against a flat hot metal surface - to deform/flatten them and simulate the vehicles weight, for example... (works if they are solid, watch out with hollow pieces though!)
Anyway, will be following!

Littletower has hit the nail right on the head as to heating the plastic, I used a soldering iron close but dot touch the plastic directly then with a piece of wood or metal ( metal ruler is good ) gently dent the plastic.
You could try it on the off cut trailer sections before hitting the cab directly, also I have seen many Military modellers use thick foil or copper sheeting to replace a section as it dents quite easily with realistic effects.
Just a thought mind large cannon you say what kind of explosive will it be using ????????
