Uhhh... I certainly did not expect them to be found that fast. Assassins are among the best stealthers in the galaxy. Oh well.

To be fair, it's Necrons on their home turf. They probably know where everything is at all times because of their fancy tech.

Alright, Dred's Entourage now consists of 1 Lychguard, #307 from before, and two Praetorians armed with Rods of the Covenant. Those rods are short ranged guns that can penetrate terminator armour and double as melee weapons. They're also jump infantry.

Merric got shot, don't know if he's dead or not.. but the Lychguard just pulled him into the secret tunnel through the door he ran through before. The Praetorians covered them out.

Your choice here, shrouded lord. I won't godmode. Suffice it to say that Turbo-Penetrator rounds can smash through tank armour without problems, so if Merric does not wear a helmet, it is likely to at least wound him.

Yeah, but considering the shot was rushed -- a flamethrowing necron vargard was charging at him. We could say the shot wasn't 100% perfect and might have grazed his head.


But it's up to Shrouded. At the very least he's unconcious, considering Lychguard #307 dragged him away

Mind you, he took the shot before the vargard reached him. Gamewise Vindicares are BS8, and they are consistently portrayed as among the best marksmen in the galaxy.

It's pretty safe to assume that even being grazed by a hyper-velocity round will knock him silly. You can drag him.

True, but we also don't reallly know how large the hall is. Shrouded said before the drop was ten stories from the balcony to the floor, and we don't know how long the hall is and how far away the Vindicaire was.

There are many factors to consider, and in heated situations like that it's highly unlikely the shot would be perfect.

Merric could have moved a bit in the intervening distance, the Vindicaire could have moved slightly due to the imminent threat, electronmagnetic fields from the Necron tech could interfere with the bullet path.

It's all up to Shrouded really.

Merric is one tough basterd.

I'm going to go with weird necron power fields or electromagnetic fields or stasis fields etc. interfering with the bullet enough for Merric to face-tank it.

Sorry, I don't know anything about assassins. I assumed that the ammunition was a solid-shot, so I figured that it may have gotten caught on the three service studs he has in his head from three hundred fifty years service. Would have "shook" the stubs, and knocked him out. If I'm wrong tell me.

It is a solid shot, it's just that it is fired with enough speed to penetrate heavy tank plating.
