That he is. It's just that I thought the idea of $20 for a single plastic monopose character with little to no customizability at $20 was absurd when they introduced it but a single space marine in power armor for $33 has officially gone plaid for me. It's not that I can't afford it but rather find myself not wanting to reward that blatant greed with a purchase. Characters have always been priced higher but just wow... YMMV as everyone has their own limits. I just wanted to point out that it's almost as much as a squad of 10 guys (or 5 more similar guys in your example, JP infantry with wings) or a vehicle.

Unless the status of the Blood Angels rules changes somehow, this guy will be my sole Blood Angels purchase for quite some time, so I don't have problems paying the premium price. He will probably get to represent Lemartes. If Blood Angels are in the Mont'ka book and get a bunch of rules to make them at least viable in Today's meta, I will buy him, the Campaign book, and whatever it takes to field some of the formations from the book. But that is a big IF. Right now, I am just pleased to see a nice model coming to Blood Angels. Automatically Appended Next Post: Am I the only person disappointed by the fact that Shadowsun in a Ghostkeel does not have any stats? That seems like something they should have put in the Kauyon book.

No Tau models, but a mix of Imperial things, notably repackaged black-clad operatives hunting O'Shova.
Any word if Sororitas formations/rules/anything appear? Devon Martinez has earned it.

He's only monopose and has no customizability if you have no idea how to use a knife and glue, and you never color outside the lines. Marines are among the easiest figures to convert, I already have ideas for this guy.

Heck, they can be customized without liberal use of a knife. The GW product pages even talk about how easy kits are to use together.
I will admit, Karlaen is a WEE bit hard to customize than the average Space Marine. However, if the little nubs that are designed to aid in getting him in the advertised pose are too big of a hurdle for someone to conquer, I would suggest they find a different hobby. Automatically Appended Next Post: I need to make it clear that I REALLY hope this book comes with a Super Formation for Blood Angels and Imperial Guard. It would be very cool if it was set up much like the Kauyon book, only it had Blood Angels, Imperial Guard, and Assassins as well as formations for the Farsight Enclaves.

He is monopose because he is meant to be built one way. There is no inherent way to modify these character packs as is. Saying he isn't monopose because you can cut him up is like me saying you have a removable slip cover because you can be skinned.

Your roommate could have apprenticed carpentry under Jesus, but that doesn't mean you bought a good rocking chair if you come home with a block of wood. Unless this mini has something specific about it that makes it more easily customizable than the standard mini line-up, bringing up knifework isn't an effective defense of a mini's static poses in comparison to the standard mini line-up.

Luckily Sisters get just enough of a trickle of life support to keep hope alive. And to be perfectly fair, ALL of Fantasy has flatlined.

By your reasoning, a lump of clay is as good as a normal assembled miniature... you just need some imagination, some tools, an oven, and water! I've converted plenty of minis in my time but when you're talking about the posability of a mini, most normal folks refer to what you can build out of the box as intended by the manufacturer. Not what you can do over an above that to make up for a lack of posing options in a mini that goes together in one specific way. Converting is NOT the same as posing a miniature.

Well considering that GW pulled out all the stops for the Sororitas in Shield of Baal in terms of new artwork, great background and general coolness and STILL gave them nothing in terms of rules - I think its unlikely

Sooooo easy to just cut this guy up and stick other bits on. Especially the head, legs, and weapons. If the jetpack is separate from the torso, even more so. You guys haven't even seen the sprue yet and you're whining like dogs!

I will get you bottom dollar that the jump pack is separate. My only complaint is that I don't care for the sinewy armor. I would rather it was all one type, rather than half and half. I like the smooth armor better. If I could figure out a good way to make it match, I would. I wish liquid green stuff was easier to work with. It seems like the right tool for the job. But, even if I can't wrap my brain around it, I will still be happy with the model.
If someone has ideas on how to smooth out the muscle armor, please let me know.
Again, I am hoping this is a sign that BA will be part of the Mont'ka book. I want to actually play my BA.

It was stated in the product discriptions of several of those sets (among them the Strike Force Ultra Set) that they would be released at a later time seperatly. So nothing crappy about it at all. Rereleasing limited releases without that note like the Website launch captains would be crappy on the other hand.

Yeah the boxes themselves were exclusive, however the descriptions of said boxes never said the characters included were; they just said things along the line of 'currently available through this box set only', indicating that later the models could be released separately.

Face it, GW models are all overpriced by about 100%, and at this point you're simply paying into a vacuum of corporate greed and poor business decisions.

The same thing GW tells you to do with your 40k models... look at it (or technically in GW's case look at it and then buy another one soon after). Remember, GAMES Workshop is a model company, not a game company. That's straight from the horse's mouth... or maybe the other end... with GW, I'm never sure.
