Getting there. The hope is to finish this part of the triumph. All the other attendants will have to come later, but if I can get the leader, the cairn, and the departed finished I’ll call it a win.

So much fiddly detail...

And that's a wrap.

Two 3D printed Wraithknights, made using a Shadow Spectre mod that I found and thought looked kinda cool. I had a good time with this project (mostly, the stress over the sheer scale at times was intense) and feel they have turned out well. Always good to see a project completed, especially at times like this where I still haven't even attempted to paint the GW Wraithknight I converted years ago. These guys are pretty big. For fun I printed them about 12% bigger than stock. On with the show.

This pic isn't for judging, just shows them with some of the other models from the same project.

Been cooking away at a bit of fluff to tie them in with the Exodites. The pilots are a male and female Eldar who each lost their twin and have a connection to Curaidh, the Snow-Crowned Prince. He will be reaching out to them for help in the conflict coming his way. If I ever get around to finishing that story.

As I said, happy with the results. The paint is a little crude in places, but it usually is for me. For everyone still working, keep at it! For everyone already done, good job! And as always, thanks for looking!

Really happy with her.

"But me no buts! Our comrades get hurt. Our friends die. Falkenburg is a knight who swore an oath to serve the church and to defend the weak. He'd be the first to tell you to stop puling and start planning. Because what we are doing-at risk to ourselves-is what we have sworn to do. The West relies on us. It is a risk we take with pride. It is an oath we honour. Even when some soft southern burgher mutters about us, we know the reason he sleeps soft and comfortable, why his wife is able to complain about the price of cabbages as her most serious problem and why his children dare to throw dung and yell "Knot" when we pass. It's because we are what we are. For all our faults we stand for law and light.

Getting there. The whole thing is not going to happen, but if I can finish the leading sister I’m calling it a win. Glued together these bits so I have something solid to hold while doing touchups.

My original plan was to finish the whole spearhead in August but that's not gonna happen.
I did finish the carnosaur and 5 warriors though, so I'm half way there. I hope next month I can finish the rest.
Here's is my centerpiece!

After looking at my photos i noticed the following:
I forgot to add the reins.
I need to touch up some edges where the paint has rubbed off.
Maybe I need to wash the bases of the tufts to blend them better with the ground.
I like the turquoise I chose for the weapon but I'm not sure I like the way I painted it. Not sure how else I could paint it though...

It has been a crazy month for me, but the crane is finally ready I am happy how it turned out. I plan to add a base and few crewmen in the future, but for now the vehicle itself and the container are enough.

As a reminder, this comp runs until Labor Day (tomorrow as I type this) so we still have a little time left. And if a day or two extension would help, feel free to ask.

Also you have more pics then normal if you want to focus/highlight spots. But please post them in a format where I can just copy/paste the links. AKA don’t just attach them to the post, but upload and link.

Nev,

For some reason I thought we had another month...have to hurry.

Now I have to mash them all together.

The summer does have a habit of slipping away too quickly.

I can defiantly tack a day of extension on this, so you don’t need to cram everything into today/tomorrow. I can call it at the end of Tuesday. Little more time to polish things off.

OK, final, combining all the others into one post with six photos.

Just glued the front sister down. Need a few touchups and final pics. Which might be pushed into late tonight/tomorrow. (Got a last minute invite to board game night)

And from a WIP POV, moved another sister down to the paintbench to start work on her. While everyone is not done for the comp, I do want to get this done by the end of the year.

Good luck and well done to everyone that entered this bonus challenge, sadly I couldn't get an enter together (barely managed the normal challenges)

I'll been voting and commenting when its all done, looking forward to it

Yeah I didn't get anywhere close to finishing mine either. I just kind of got stuck and wasn't sure where to go with it next. And rather than rush it and do a half-ass job, I decided to just wait until I find inspiration again.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

This is as far as I could get during the time allotted. About 95% built, with just a few details to add and some gaps to fill. Hopefully I can get it painted for this month's painting comp.

OK, did a few little touchups this morning, grabbed pics on my break, and collaged them over lunch.

If people need the rest of the day to polish things off, go for it. I think tonight is going to be compiling the Aug contest, I’ll go over this comp tomorrow.

The plan was to do it yesterday, but that didn’t happen. Was gong to do it over this morning’s coffee, which is now.

Edit:
And go vote.
