see I disagree as the vampire fits a lot of the early representations of them. They weren't always portrayed as robert patterson you know. As far as Iceswords stuff cheers to him on this, but when is he actually going to start selling all of that stuff?

If I'm not mistaken Ed will release a batch of new stuff in early Januari, this includes some of Icesword's stuff. Things aren't going as fast as wanted because Ed is also providing casting services for several other companies.

Im guessing the vampire is going to have a main of hair running down its back and shorter hair over parts of its body ? also wings ?
as for the techno guys im not a fan of the oversized mail or the wellington boots .

The Techno Communion people could need one miniature with a different pose to make the group less monopose.

Also planned for January release are a bunch of Mongoblins and hopefully the big transport bug by Cyclonus (this one waiting for a year for its release, but then again it is really big

)

For the vampire it is his grin that breaks the head. I think the semi canine head (from profile) is ok.

I think a few head options are the right way to go, but in general that's looking pretty good!

The head will be replaced, the wings are still not totally sure either, might get altered as well. You guys will be the first ones to know once the changes have been implemented.

I'm iffy on where the wings start on the lower back. I think if he did them from inside the arms/ under the armspits that would look great.

Small message from Ed:

Ok, new molds done for spinning today and very, very close to being converted over to all metals. I need to finish Rozmax's little troll guys, which I forgot about :-[ and they will go in the next 2 spin molds for metal but next is master casting and back to casting for TFM which finishing up for Ice, JT, and other paid work! ;D

Jan.-feb. we are looking at for metal releases:
1 the pirates and gang girl
2 the dwarf of Rozmax converted, Bob Olley, the sage, and the halfling of Vermis
3 mongolian goblins galore, like 6 more new ones I think
4 Builds lizard man NEW and dwarf along with 2 additions from Andrew May, a friend of mine.

Also should have stuff off to Ice and JT by then for their own releases. 8-)

Next in line is my own personal series which begins with:
1) 2 humans with alterations to create 4 human soldiers
2) 2 elf warriors to convert to 3 options
3) undead galore. Vamp, ghoul, ghast, skeletons, and probably zombies or even the flesh golems.

Gonna be busy everyone.

glad to hear Ed's going to change the head on the vampire. It's a such cool model, IMO one of his bests, only the head lets it down. Can't wait to see it finished

There are still a few touches that will be done to his head. Here is the Ghast Ed is still working on!

By the way, this is what Ed had to say about his undead material:

To do list:
Vampire human form, ghouls (3), wraith (2), skeletons (5-6), lich, and probably several other undead of my own design but all these basic are getting a nice new addition soon.

The ghast is the beefed up ghoul who ate so much and became a hero type. He is also a little more magic infused so a bit tougher.

What is the translucent brown stuff he uses to sculpt out of curiosity?

It is ether Sculpting wax or brown stuff mixed with something else.

Ed sculpts using a polymer clay called cernit. once it is baked he switches to GS for the final details.

Some Redemption Sector stuff:

Think I've finally settled on the Black Praetorians: had trouble with the basic coat collar and wanted something to differentiate them from the Redcoats so I've gone with an exaggerated collar piece and cuffs. Stuck buttons on after these pics were taken.

Still WIP, refinements and details in progress.

Started work on some Cultists, this is the test sculpt. Hood has been added after pic was taken. Doing 5 guys like this, 2 guards with pikes, a cult leader and then some clowners and perhaps a sacrificial victim. Intending them for the Vampire cults started by the clowners but they'll be generic enough to be used for any cult (Cthulhu, Chaos, Genestealer, etc.)

For Ed's peace of mind, strengthened and re did the bases on all the Techno guys to make sure they survive the molding process

Finished up this thing as well.

I guess how long will take to GW to sue 'em for ip infringement... Hope not too early since these trenchers are wonderful and I want'em!!!!

I doubt GW would sue Troll Forged Miniatures since all the miniatures produced do not break any GW IP. Not only are the designs original ones rather than GW ones, the names and background also don't break GW's IP. However, this does not mean that GW hasn't been an inspiration for it, but there is a difference between creating stuff that is influenced by GW than stuff that is a GW product but made by another company as we've seen with the work of others...
