It i think it works pretty well. The scenarios might, but we will probably only start with simple battleline.
Everyone still okay with a league?

Thanks Spanky, it was a good game. These last few games I've had have got me back into the spirit of things, I had begun to lose interest in 40K, but I've got back into the swing of things.
I've been painting away today, started on my Talos.
I'm going to have a play around with my army list, see if I can come up with a more effective 1750 list that doesn't rely on unnecessary upgrades, but I'll be limited to what models I've got.

That's good news, we all hit hobby bumps now and again. I do all the time, keep hitting them though mainly because I'm missing bits.
If you want another game let me know , and if you want me to bring a different list I can (if you feel like taking on an infantry horde

this is soo true, i just went out and bought a box of Dwarf warriors and thunderers so i can finally fix my stuff (i was so disheartened by there destruction at the hands of zak my brothers son) and it has rekindled the hobby bug in me, im now going to re-paint my dwarfs in the original colours i wanted ( GW has stopped making the purple i needed, they do it again now) so im pretty chuffed

I find the best way to avoid the bumps is to mix it up a little, for instance my guard infantry company is such a grind I often find it difficult to motivate myself to work on it, so every now and again I'll do something a little different. For instance had yesterday off set myself the challenge of building the 40 remaining guard I needed, to break it up a little I also built a counts as Kell and painted some search lights.

I have about 150 little dwarf beards to paint... lets not mention the teeny tiny faces too, 99% of the dwarfs model is beard.. and hair is a bitch to paint properly... and thats only 3 units...

I might be interested if I can get an army together in time, however the chances of me getting 3k points together for that final Apoc game is slim to none I'm afraid.

I'm planning or re-writing the spec for the apoc game once the new rules are out Nick. Seems allies may be a must for many people to get to the required points. there are others who insist they can bring thousands more so if I can figure out how to shuffle things around, place this player with that then it won't be too much of a problem. I hope.

Even with allies I would have a problem fitting my own fluff, as always I manage to create problems for myself. Then there's the issue of the models I would want to use, would an army made up of absolutely no GW models even be allowed?
