My Favorite will likely always be Mushi-Shi
Absolutely loved it both as a manga and an animated series.

Muchi-shi was indeed pretty sweet. Wish it was longer.

I just noticed that a Dantalian no Shoka OVA has just come out. Excuse me while I watch it.

To be fair, the age of consent in Japan is 13, so it would be considered slightly more normal there (incididentally, Japan also has some of the lowest teenage pregnancy rates and sexual assault rates in the world).

Also, living in Britain I can tell you that 14 year olds dressed like that is nothing new.

Bah. Up to 401 on One Piece but the good services that I was watching it on are going to poop. One of em went to poop a few episodes back and started splitting the episodes into two half videos and then being super laggy and slow. Other service is just not listed. Third one doesn't work on my phone. Will have to watch a bunch of episodes this weekend on my day off and see if I can get past this and get to episodes I can watch on my phone again.

It's Total Eclipse (can view on Crunchy Roll). Imo, its a pretty bad show though. They basically took the typical harem set up and just threw in a dash of Blue Gender. Most of the episodes are typical "put the characters in compromising situations" episodes.

I'd give the first two eps a go then give up on it then. At least for them it's serious and more or less a self contained story.

I started on Neon Genesis Evangelion. I've only seen the first episode but it looks good. Damn hard to find all the episodes on Youtube though. Darn.

You tube is not the place you should look for anime. Google something like Evangelion dub/sub (your choice) and then the episode number. You will find a page and normally they will have the entire series and you can select the next episode from the previous ones page. Option 2, do what I do and buy the disk!

Glad to find this thread. I basically just pick a series and try as hard as possible to finish it, so I can move onto another. I'm not good with remembering what to watch.

Among other things, I finished usagi drop. Finished the Fuko arc on Clannad, and finished HOTD. Finished Upotte also.

Campione, Sword Art Online and Dakara Boku Wa are my next three. I have about a hundred other things I want to watch/read. Animu/mango is one of the best things I could possibly use my time for. It's sort of like a competition, so I don't look like a baka around wiser weaboos, and so I can say I'm a bit wiser than I was the day before....

But, it's not unpleasant, like some other hobbies. I eagerly await getting home every day, eating dinner and then retreating to my room and watching anime all night long, or playing touhou, or whatever. It's great. I'm glad I got back into it.

But then my "I have to finish this anime" OCD kicks in and I end up watching it all.

Beach episodes should cure that.

It's annoying that the set up story is good while the rest is progressively getting crap, slightly recovers and continues again.

I was wondering if they'd make Brook part of the crew or not. Luffy kept wanting a musician and Brook is a really good one, but he is also incrediably weird as a character, what being a living skeleton and all. Not that there weren't already some freaks on his boat.

I also thought they were actually going to kill Zoro. It's a little disappointing story wise that he lived, with the one guy saying that this will for sure kill you, not maybe, or most likely, but will, and then having him survive anyways. I've mostly gotten used to that fact that pretty much no one dies, and anyone you thought died actually survived by some miracle, repeatedly. Even Warmachine fiction doesn't hand out as much plot armor as One Piece!

Yeah, they keep straddling that line between kids show and adult that is really odd and it gets annoying. I want people to die just so I feel there's something at risk for once. It's kinda sad how at the end of the arc everyone stands back up. The only people who are dead died in backstory.

Also, check out watchop if you're having problems. They're pretty good.

Where could I find subbed DVDs? (I hate dubbing).

Most DVDs have options to listen to the Japanese audio track and English subs in the menu someplace.
