It's Total Eclipse (can view on Crunchy Roll). Imo, its a pretty bad show though. They basically took the typical harem set up and just threw in a dash of Blue Gender. Most of the episodes are typical "put the characters in compromising situations" episodes.

If that's the case I won't even bother then...Its a shame that the show was that sort of thing. I really do hate where most anime is going nowadays.

Hey, just popped my head in here as I don't usually watch anime, but my friend introduced me to Sword Art Online. Still airing in Japan so you'll have to watch with subtitles it's a pretty cool show.

Basically it's about a bunch of people who get trapped in a MMORPG where you die IRL if you die in game. There are some amazingly glaring plot holes but so far they've kept the cutesy and fan service that so annoyed me about most anime to a minimum.

That's true. Its really unexpected. I didn't expect the show to be so dark when the first couple of episodes were really cutesy and just typical anime stuff.

So this tech isnt recent, but a couple months ago they started releasing that old anime berserk into movie parts. I remember seeing the first part and was wondering if anyone knew if the other parts have been released yet? For the moment im out of anime to watch :( I have tried watching D.Gray Man but the first 5-6 episodes havn't wowed me all that much. Has any one else seen it? I figure with all the episodes in the series its got to pick up at some point? Or should I just stop now and go back to watching CardCaptor Sakura?

I'm watching Stiens;Gate. Its very good and I haven't seen the best of it yet for what I've read online. You could pick it up skycrawler. Its a sci-fi about time travel.

Outlaw star is a action comedic series that has space battles with ships. Its a lot like cowboy bebop actually. Then there is MSG 0083, its a shorter gundam series that is more militaristic than the other series, and a lot of the episodes take place in space if I remember correctly. Then one I have never seen before but that I hear great things about is legend of the galactic heroes. Its 110 episode long series envolving a ton of space battles. Its an older series tho, and like said I have never seen it before.

I'm not a particularly massive anime person but I've watched most of the more popular animes (Full metal Alchemist, Trigun, Death Note, Code Geass etc.)

One however that I've just finished watching (well re-watching actually) is Soul Eater. I'd heavily recommend this anime to anyone as it is excellent, I don't think I've enjoyed an anime as much as this one, it's got great characters, a quite interesting story and it's overall pretty enjoyable. Good for anime n00bs like myself.

Another that I'd recommend (I know I'm probably years behind everyone else) is Desert Punk. This show is great, it's essentially a quite hilarious anime version of the Fallout (Video games), I know it isn't based on them but there are similarities and I found it to be really fun.

I'd also recommend, while I don't know if it can be strictly called anime, the Marvel animes/animations. There are series for Iron Man, Wolverine, X-men and some others too.

Yes. it gets brought up here periodically, but Soul Eater is indeed AMAZING.

I can second Legend of the Galactic Heroes. It was a great show and its all about ship to ship combat. If you've ever watched Code Geass you'll see a lot of the influence that Reinhard in the character Lelouch from Code Geass. They are both really similar, but LOGH has better developed themes. Its definitely worth a shot.

I loved soul eater, Hated the ending, not that it was bad but.....

Its not anime (its a J-Drama/Comedy), but 'The Hero Yoshihiko and the Demon King’s Castle' is fantastic.

If you enjoy Monty Python (especially Holy Grail), JourneyQuest, Dragon Quest, or RPGs in general, you should watch it.



Keep in mine its got the same level of budget as most other J-Drama/Comedies.. which is lower then stuff like Super Hero Time (Power Rangers/Kamen Rider).

agreed, it was midnight when I started watching, it's now 5 in the morning XD it has to be by far one of the best I've seen in ages and it's only 12 parts yet they crammed so much in

I have to say the end was.....



to anyone with doubts, go out there right now and watch Puella Magi Madoka Magica, you will not regret it ^.^

Curse My Need to read Ahead, I read what happened in Madoka Magicka. Seriously, that went from dark, to even dark, and the ending was well, weird.

Now I need to find another or go back too Stargate Atlantis.

Just finished what of Kenichi: the Best Disciple Netflix has. Excellent, some of the humor required a face palm but good over all. As wussy as Kenichi could be, he definitely grew up over the course of the series which I always like seeing.

Just finished watching Steins;gate and boy, was it amazing. I give it my highest rating. Looks like I have another amine to add to the 'have to buy this' list!
