Nobody seems to be on anymore. What's happened?

It usually dips around this time of the year due to school exams and summer holidays etc.

1.3 is coming soon, so interest may pick up again.

I've personally been busy with Guild Wars 2 beta weekends and playing GW1 on the side. I'll check in occasionally to check inventory and such.

But yeah, 1.3 sounds exciting.

Oh well, I'll probably just go on the server this weekend, even if it's just to make new editions to the Fantasy Realm (as I think that area with the dwarves, Elves and (soon) halflings + more should be called)
Hmm, maybe I'll make a high elf city (flying in mid air) just for the fun of it, in edition to the halflings, that way no burny-burny when lighting hits, as was suggested a while ago...

The map is made up of thousands of tiled images. When the map is updating it just replaces any updated sections of the world with a new "tile" image. So if you visited while it was updating, the worst you might see would be some tiles out of sync with the others.

My hosting provider has gone down a couple of times in the past, but they haven't reported any problems in the last 24 hours...

Just a thing I found, you can place stairs above chests and still open them. Makes things look more integral.

Yeah, I haven't been on in a few months since I've been busy with other games and exams.
Hopefully I'll be on a bit more in a few weeks, when I get an 8-week summer holiday.

I'm out of stuff to do around my house basically. Whenever I go to log on either no one else is or people I don't know which basically means the same thing; wander around my house and find something to do. So I haven't been on for a little bit either.

Yeah, I was building in the dwarven city and I accidently pearled into anothers house I told them, they reacted badly and told me not to go into their house.
I just looked in through the door for a while then walked in. Just trying to prove a point, I probably was wrong in doing that.
But I had reacted badly to someone treating me like I was just some petty theif.
He killed me and burned my stuff, I went back with a sword to try and reason without being auto-killed he killed me burnt my stuff and then broke my bed and kept killing me.

I said sorry at the end and gave him a diamond pick with unbreaking three.

I felt this was unjustified dark gave me a ultimatum that he would check the logs and if I was being a pest I would be banned. Or I could leave it, I chose the logs because I needed a break from minecraft.

Now I want back in. Well :/

Ooo. I know how much of a pain it can be sometimes.

The reason I left KFPerin's server was because someone had put in a Nethertrap- I went through a portal to look around, and there was a closed room with a button- I figured it was a door, of course, so I pushed it (we needed to use redstone to allow people access to our 'restricted' areas- yeah, the server had protection mods). It dumped me into a lava pit, and I died. I respawned in the Nether, and couldn't get back out because the only portal in the area was the one that I'd come through, and they had it completely enclosed.

They were wearing power ranger skins, and refused to let me back. I made a royal pain of myself, though, using block glitching and the slight delay of placed blocks dissapearing to get myself inside (wouldn't have been able to if they hadn't let me in specifically to troll me.) and, though I wasn't able to reach the portal, I did manage to mess up their redstone a bit.

I'd personally say that half the bans are quite un-justified.
But heh, do you think we could have a sort through of the bans and just ask the community that plays whether to let them back or not?
I mean people who get banned for burning and breaking things should never come back.
People who vouch for someone who then turns should get a second chance, perhaps a no vouch rule should go into place?

I really want to just build again on a server where I vaguely know people
And doesn't have a bucket load of mods stopping me from digging this dirt block because it's a admins dirt block...

Might of been more to it then if he did ban you for that. Though he did sort of give you the choice, I can imagine the logs being somewhat annoying to go through.

I'd personally say that banned players complaining about being banned is really annoying...

See, though, I do think there should be some form of pardon or forgiveness that can be applied. Often enough, the person isn't truly malicious in their actions, and the ban can teach them the lesson. There'd obviously need to be a minimum ban period- maybe a month, maybe 6, maybe a year. And you'd have to have a community consensus.

But especially for folks who were banned for vouching for someone, or possibly those who were participants in feuds.


But if you get banned again, it's permanent.

I took the option because I needed a break, and I mean burning my stuff was a bit unjustified. It's just the way it was described as all ok to burn my stuff and break my bed.

I'm not saying mine was un-justified, just some of the rules seem a bit harsh for no apparent reason.

I would say the logs would be anoying to go through, but I don't think he even looked. Considering the actual interaction between two players is more substantial than the talking between them.

That and I was civil the entire way through.
Still it is a community server and it's not like I took anything or broke anything. I opened a door

Meh, I don't like to discuss bans in the thread as it just devolves into mudslinging, but fine:

I decided to ignore your request at first because your emotions were probably running high etc, and it wouldn't have been fair to ban you whilst you were angry/not thinking straight.

But six hours later you posted on the thread still asking for it. So I did check the logs (these aren't "just chat logs") and you were repeatedly being a pest AND gloating about it. If it was just the pestering I probably would have thought twice, but it's the *repeatedly* pestering and the gloating that did it.

I've never had someone effectively ask to be banned before, but I did give you fair warning several times. :/

I know and kept a record of what I said, I would like to check you've even read the logs. It may sound strange but from the context your going at it from it sounds all wrong.
