I'll try out the game eventually but it's not a priority right now. I enjoy the painting side of things since it gives me a chance to relax and de-stress. Looking forward to seeing your P&M blog.

Small update:
Finished off my scout biker...
Also managed to pick up a box of the old scout models in metal and will be prepping these guys for painting soon:
Finally, have a WIP build shot of my centurions.
I'm a fan of the GK dreadknight model and think these are just mini versions of the dreadknight. I built these to be shooty centurions so I decided to leave off most of their heavy bulkier armour. I have another box of centurions which I'll be building up with the close combat drills which will have the standard armour plates. I found it wasteful that GW put so much detail in the legs of these models which end up being covered up anyway by the armor plates so I left the plates off so they can look a bit more maneuverable.

I have a little hobby-thread going in the P&M section. Some say it's the best blog on Dakka, some don't agree, most belive it would be better if I finished at least one project some time this century and not just kept starting new ones.

Egg you're back man! :-) Oh this makes me happy! good to see you painting still and doing such amazing work as usual, the Scout bike is probably my favorite scout bike i've ever seen so far! really great job on the screens etc. and the scouts themselves are tops too! I had your measure from the get go with the old ones and started to giggle even before the 'reveal' :-) I do like a little humor between Nerds!

Thanks Nerdy. I'm amazed you and gits are still going strong after all this time. I got a lot of catching up to do.
Last update for the year. Finished off the Land Speeder Storm. This kit is lots of fun to build and paint...

Another awesome piece egg. As Gits was saying, great modelling as well as painting.
Ever considered sending some pics to gw, I'm sure you be featured in white dwarf (if you haven't been already).
As an aside, ever considered trying your hand at one of the other legions? Would love to see you paint fists or salamanders...

Thanks! I've thrown some of my army pictures from a year ago in the flickr page but haven't submitted anything to GW. Maybe the next time I pull all the models out of display cabinet for an army photo I'll send them their way as well. I wanted to do Fists awhile ago since I do like their colour scheme and I've been collecting some pre-heresy models for awhile now. It's a toss up at the moment whether or not to paint them up as BA or IF. I'll decide once I finish off my 40k stuff.

Thanks Luther! Yup, shoulder pad symbols are all freehand. I almost never use the should pad transfer as they give me too many problems with edge creases and bubbles on the round surface of the shoulders.

Sure...I start out with a boltgun metal base. I then airbrush the following inks in order: sepia, marine blue and then black.
 Automatically Appended Next Post: Quick update, finished off 2 Blood Angels Sanguinary Priest models.
Reminded me of how tough it is to paint white. These two started off with black primer, then airbrushed ice blue, space wolves grey and then white. Think next time I do more sanguinary priests I'll start with a white basecoat and airbrush in the shadows.
