Super Optimus. Thanks for the support. Two always make better than one. I guess that also means that you would be interested in a league?? Anyone else guys? Let's find out what kind of interest there is and then we can get it going. What do people think about number of people in league? Number of set games to be played per week/biweekly/month? Cost? etc.

Oh.. by the way... if anyone wants to play this week, let me know. I am currently free all day Wed, Thurs and Friday (would probably have to finish early on Friday though for family dinner plans). I want to give my Hellions a chance to shine....never used them before.

I can do games this week. Likely thursday and possibly wednesday too.

I'm free all day thrusday for games, would also like to pick up some stuff while there now that i have some extra cash on me .

As for a league i'm all for it, though we would need to work out a lot of things before we started it.

Either way let me know if thrusday works for you and i'll be there 11am .

If you guys don't mind some proxies,I might try a tau list while I get ready to pick up some models.

I'll be there, I've been painting every night I could to get my army ready, only 1 more vehicle to go and I'll be done!

Then I have my own mass of grey plastic to paint but at least part of my total force looks good!

I was wondering if that meant that Tau vehicles with disruption pods, or vehicles that used smoke grenades would get their saves since like the seeker missiles it's not a LOS related obscured but comes from wargear.

I'll have to read up on it, but hive guard ignoring cover has nothign to do with los, HG shooting without needing los is another part of their rules. Them ignoring cover saves is about how much area terrain you are in, and if you can claim a save from it normally. If you are willing to put your vehicle in area terrain you can claim a cover save against HG is what their faq is about.

I can stay till about 5 tomorrow, need to get home to make some dinner for the gf.

Ahh ok i've read it and i see where your coming from and i'd agree with you except the tyranid faq specifically has a rule stating that the only way to gain a cover save vs the imapler cannon (HG gun) is by being in area terrain.

Cool. So I have to keep my chimeras 25 inches away from them. Noted.

Technically 30 inches away, since they can move 6 and fire 24 .

I called up heavy support and they're also full with Magic nonsense. I'd like to be up for something, but it depends if we finish everything tomorrow at work. I'll definately know tomorrow by mid day. Do you have another place to meet, or is it down to GW yonge/lawrence?

Ugh GW stores, have we sunk that low again.... lol Well you see if you're free and we'll go from there.

Why won't they have room? They don't play magic on the wargaming tables?

They said they had 60+ people coming in for it, so i wouldn't be surprised if they needed the 40k tables, when i was in on thrusday they let me know about the release and that finding a table could be difficult.

Just want to let everyone know that I am leaving the province for 4 weeks as of May 2, 2012. Therefore, I will not be around to play Warhammer, but when I come back on May 31, 2012, I expect to have a Tyranid army ready (SPENDER!!!!) to pound the snot of you all as regularly as you may wish to be pounded. Also, upon my return I will certainly be putting together a league. I will contact you when I return Optimus so we can generate ideas about the logistics. Also, I know Joffrey and Styrofoam wanted to be part of setting up the league... need to pull Styrofoam back to the hobby from his Dungeons and Dragons!

I'll be popping by Meeplemart to pick up some paint - is anyone going to be playing there today? Love to meet some of you.
