Which was awesome! First tournament and I came in 4th, I'm hapy for that. Congrates to More Dakka for the best overall win!

Sharp1011 put on a very well organised and fun tournament. The missions were awesome, one had a baneblade driving around the table(which it's self was a great looking snow table, even if you took some of it with you when you left). I ended up tied for 1st going into the last match but lost 11-4 VP to Mike (I forget his dakka name) and his clown orks. He layed them very well, I had a couple of bad reserve rolls and he took advantage of it. Oh well that's the game.

Everyone I played was having a blast and it seems like it was a great success. I'm looking forward to the next one.

Thanks again to Mike (Sharp1011) for organizing and Steve at Meeplemart for hosting (And getting moving the whole store so 8 tables could be fit side by side, and for creating all the tables and terrain!)

It's 290 Carlaw, there is street parking out front. He's only open Tuesday and Thursday nights and on the weekends. Odd hours I know....

Hello, My name is Wayne and i'm 28 years old. I just moved to the beaches (Toronto) and am looking to find a gaming community here in Toronto. I am only available Sat evenings from 2PM and Sundays (all day). I am a novice player and I use a space marine army. Could I join your gaming club/community? @yellow_fist, you just joined the club! You aren't far from Meeplemart (Carlaw and Queen) and you can usually find people player there on Sundays. When ever you feel like playing just make a post in this thread and you can usually get a few people to meet you. We're a friendly bunch (most of us at least, Dark Eldar Elite can be a little of a jerk I kid I kid, I only say that because I haven't beaten you yet) and we are always up for a game or several. Just keep an eye on the thread!

Welcome! I know that several guys play at Meeplemart and there are also a bunch of us that regularly play on Sundays at Legends (Langstaff and hwy 400). We always welcome new faces, and the only way to improve from novice to better is through playing. The guys on this forum thread are laid back and easy to get along with. Hope to see you out soon.

Interesting. Hmmmm... you are finally trying to get me back for some of the 'wife' in 'control' jabs I threw last week? he he... Hope you always know that, while I can be mouthy, I am always just having fun....okay, maybe at yours and JonST's expense more than others, but that's only because you both play Space Wolves! LOL

Ahh DEE if there was anything open today i'd get a game in with ya, sadly most places i've seen close down on mondays.

Yeah, his hours are odd but he does have his reasons for it.

I should mention that Steve is looking for a new location closer to the downtown core where he will start opening on more regular hours.

Come on down to Meeplemart this Sunday! We meet up there almost every Sunday Afternoon (the store is open 12-6). The store is at 290 Carlaw just two blocks north of Queen. Go in this door marked 290, go up the stairs on the right and it's just down the hall on the 2nd floor. You can find pictures of the gaming space in the Tournament Gallery I just posted up this weekend to get an idea of what the store looks like!

Ooo, i accept that challenge. See if my nids have grown at all by then. At this point i got my last few FT assembled, just need to start painting and then they should be all done, so it'll be nids after that .

If ya don't hear back from him let me know and i could meet ya for a game tomorrow around 1pm, give me a chance to pick up some free paints while i'm there, and try out the new 1850 list that i could take to the next tournie .

That was an awesome tournament (and I'm not just saying that cause I won )

I really liked the format and the missions, definitely a nice change of pace from the normal 3 missions with 3 deployments.

Lots of really nice looking armies out there and a great crowd to boot.

Terrain was really really great as well, excellent detail and design.

Thanks to Steve for hosting and to Mike for doing a great job organizing (and answering my 30+ questions at the start of each round).

Looking forward to future events!

To everyone who is going to Meeplemart this Sunday, I'll probably heading down there as well for the first time. Chances are, I might also be bringing some of my fellow gamers along as well, just to check the place out.

Okay, so Spender and Rythem are going to be at Legends at 11 a.m. You can get a game in before I arrive, for sure. My wife works until 5:30 p.m, so you could definitely play a game at 11 and then I will arrive and we can play a game either 3-way or 1-on-1, I like both. I will bring an 1850 list. We could do 3000 Nids versus 1500 Dark and 1500 Necrons? Anyway, you guys decide. But my point is that you can definitely get a game in before I arrive... I will come at like 1:30 and I'm fine even if my game doesn't get to start until 2 ish.

I'm going to be trying out a new list. Proxy two Ghost Arks as two Doomsday Arks. They're pretty much the same model, except upside down.

Proxies are fine with me, long as it's easy to remember.
