Oh 0 - while I'm about it - had another read through that tutorial you made on weathering - really helpful stuff for the vignette base I'm making at the minute - cheers fella

Oh great !
It took me forever to translate it (thanks again Gits for your help) then I'm very pleased if it helps. Give me a link so I can see the result when it's done mate.

ISC is not my favorite faction (would you guess that i LOVE Askaris ? ) but most of them look really nice. And to be honest, I love all three models from the starter.
If you get them someday, let me see, whatever game you use them in. ^^

As for Georg's eyes, they're plain black with gloss varnish. The white dots on my Convoy's models eyes are real light reflection. I think that those black eyes surrounded by red skin are really scary in a way. Like some movie monsters :

It's a little further on than this now as I've attached it to its plinth - just waiting for the pva in the pool part to dry so i can fill it with blood (you'll see ) - damnanble humidity over here at the mo means its taking an age to dry >< couldnt/didnt use weathering powders on this one as (again) damned humidity means I can't spray to seal them on. So all done by brush. Have had sooooo much fun with this so far

Hi all !

It's really hot in there these days, I can hardly paint. However I still painted a test model for my Naashtis, a new faction for Alkemy. As usual when I start a new army/band/group, it took me ages to decide on the color scheme. I wanted to make something different than the classical brown or green snakes scheme. My brother came home and since he loves blue, I decided to have a go with it. And it works well in my opinion.

You can see all the images on my blog : http://code660066.blogspot.fr/2016/07/alkemy-naashtis-figurine-test.html

Nice work. I like the nagga-like aspect of the figure.

Long time since I've posted here.

Thanks Gits ! I've struggled a little while painting this test model, because I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do. But it was worth the effort since it helped a lot. The color scheme is now decided, and I painted two models with this scheme and I love them. I'll post photos of my Naashtis later !

For today, I have lots of in game photos from my latest Eden tournament. We had a really great day, and I finished 5th on 12 players, after losing my last game versus the tournament winner.
More than 30 photos on my blog : http://code660066.blogspot.fr/2016/08/tournoi-eden-lantre-du-dragon-ii-07-08.html

Hey Januine !
It's not a dog, it's a hyena. It's worse than a dog. (and in-game it's pretty bad-ass ). The Gasmask guy is the Defender. He's in the starter set, it's one of the first three models that were sculpted when the faction was launched, and it's because of this miniature that I chose the Askaris. I had no idea of their gameplay or background. It's my avatar on several forums, btw. ^^

If you're interested in the game, check the Beasts of War wbsite. There are really good videos about Eden, showing game mechanics and tactical advice. This one, for example : http://www.beastsofwar.com/eden/basic-mechanics/
The core rules of Eden are simple as hell. Yet the gameplay is really deep, rich, and tactical.

Illumini wrote:Man, the guy with half a guy strapped to himself is a creepy looking fella

Man... the creepiest part of that model is almost hidden on my photos. From the other side, we can see that he's hiding a montrous child. Brrrr...

Camkierhi wrote:So much pretty, you certainly sell a game, these look so beautiful.

Thanks Cam' !
I love that game, and I really enjoy painting models for it. I'm happy that in my area, there are several motivated players, that also play with painted models. Thus it's a pleasure to make or organize tournaments.

You both are making me a great compliment.

ISC and Nephilim have a different gameplay. Of course, it can't be reduced to a few words, but to keep it simple, the main aspects of ISC are their armour that reduce the damages they get, the fact that they can't be hurt, they fight at full ability until they're destroyed, and they each have a really specialized role on the battlefield. The Nephilim have a lot of abilities that allow dice control. They ave re-rolls, possibility to change dice values and so on.

Hi guys !

Thanks a lot for the latest comments Gits and Januine ! I've made some progress on my other Naashtis, but none of them is finished so far. However, I painted the new ISC model for Eden, and it's fantastic.
The Blue Fusetsu (that's its name) is a walking factory. It can produce little robots during the game. I love the idea. The sculpt is great, painting it was really enjoyable and easy.

One more noticeable thing is that the Fusetsu introduces a new multiplayer game mode called "Eden Legends", where all the other players fight the one playing the Blue Fusetsu. The game creator asked me to take part in the creation of this game mode, and I'm really proud of it !

All the views are on my blog : http://code660066.blogspot.fr/2016/09/eden-peinture-de-la-blue-fusetsu.html

Not where I should be

Your work and style have been stunning me speechless for sometime, and those snake people are a prime example of the wonderful way you have with colour and paint. The models are brilliant and I will be getting some soon, no ifs or buts anymore, your work is amazing on them.

Then we come to that final model, it is at a whole different level again, I would say Masterpiece, but that implies a one off, and I know you will do this again to me. It is a devastatingly good work of art sir. It is such a fantastic model, agree with Jan I will be buying one. But your skills on it are brilliant, words again fail me......

Thank you for sharing sir.

Love the model and the paint work you've given it Minus. Could be a Necron spider in 40k easily too. Great setting for the display with the swamp board and background. Very nicely done!

Thanks aku-chan. I've painted rust on quite a lot of rusted models now, so I know how to get the effect I want to achieve. I really enjoy it, painting rust is so fun.

Thanks Boss Salvage !
I had already written some official multiplayer missions for Eden, but this new game mode was a bigger piece of work. I hope players will have fun with it.

Oguhmek wrote:Fantastic rust effect, really great. Love the base too.

Thanks !
At first I planned to do an industrial base like on my other ISC's models, but this big flat surface (the base is 50 mm wide) was a perfect occasion to do a swamp base.

Gitsplitta wrote:Love the model and the paint work you've given it Minus. Could be a Necron spider in 40k easily too. Great setting for the display with the swamp board and background. Very nicely done!

Gits, always there.
It could be used with minor conversions for necrons or admechs in the 40k settings, I think.

I made great progress on my Naashtis (the snake-men) but they're still not complete. I'm painting them five at a time, I didn't do this much lately.
But I painted a little something. It's not a miniature, but I think you might like it. My Unkle made a custom USB key using some halloween toy, and asked me to paint it zombie-style. I love zombies... he didn't have to ask me twice !
