I though we avoided using space ships.

And I thought we wanted to avoid any thing bigger than knights anyway. 3 Titan level flyers + 3-4 race allied together seems a bit much.

And regarding your Pathfinders, miscommunication, I'll stick with killing Tiller snipers, sentries and other things

Mantas aren't spaceships any more than Valkyries are.
They are orbit-to-ground vehicles, just that the Manta is bigger.

And no-one complained about my three Mantas. When I asked to bring them as part of my faction, no-one objected.

Also, so it's not okay to ally if you're not Imperial?

I mean, I use the Mantas as troop transports rather than actual combat ships.

I meant the Tau/Tarellians/Necron mix which seems to outnumber almost any armies and then you add the three Mantas. I dunno, seems like far more power than anyone else brought and I though we agreed to limit ourselves.

While im not sure about the aircraft i think the races allying is fine, the reality being that the imperium whoch has what ? 7 or 8 ? Writers while the xenos have more i think but it aint xenos vs imperium. The xenos are fractured apart from a few uneasy alliances while the imperium is generally united no matter what. So i think it is fine to ally and it is fine to launch attacks such as these, the imperium hasn't lost much if anything at all and it would be nice for the tillers to gain momentum and not be reduced to a punching bag, wheres the fun in that ? As i said in the beginning however through in the titan level aircraft (which i dont know if they are) and you probably have a point

As for the pathfinders they are smudges dude which have plot armor ie vandred so it's understandable why you cant killed them bob, maybe you could disrupt them ? But you cant kill them.

Yeah, I'm not seeing a massive problem with multiple races.
I mean, it wasn't even brought up as a problem until now, and it's hardly fluff breaking or over powered.

Hell, my army has three different races (Tau, Human, a few assorted other xenos auxiliaries)

And as far as the Mantas go, I sent them as transports, I wasn't aware they would be in the thick of the fight.

It's the mix of all things, WK had knights, but his non IK was tiny, I have 200 in mind, but I might be wrong.

For the record I brought 2500 Scions, but their biggest vehicles are Tauroxes Prime and Valkyrie sized crafts. If I had brought a bunch of Titans, my army would've much smaller.

Like I said, my Mantas are designed for transport, which means they have less weapons than normal, which could help explain why you may have taken one or two out in the air battle.

I dont even know what the problem is, the imperium was attacked by a strong force by suprise.

If they are beaten it would be something to rally the imperium together to erase this new threat.

Reality is its 3v2 so the odds are bound to be against the imperials on this one, but you never know with dice rolls.

My Guard are a few thousand strong (I think 3-4, but I'm still working on the numbers).

I have 4 Knights (plus a few armsmen)

I have no idea how big an Eldar strike force is

I'd say an Eldar Strike force would number around a couple hundred maybe?

With all due respect to Irish, I think that's incorrect.
No regular unit, unless it's specially named and might have reason to be elite, should have plot armour. But hey, I'm not the GM, so I could be wrong.

These are just Troop transports. They happen to be Mantas.

And again, no-one has complained about my Mantas.

Regarding the Mantas, it's more of a '' those guys had titan class flyers all along, SUPRISE '' reaction than anything else

You have Vandred's face, not his compatriots. Vandred's face is only useful if you can find him, and especially under the facemask he's wearing again.

The only advantage that gives you is if Vandred is ever seen without his mask on and he's in a place he shouldn't be - ie, another Imperial city. That's not a massive hinderance in an active warzone like New Pavus.

It's a scrap of cloth covering his face. How does that help in a warzone? Plus anyone covering their face in a cloth is suspicious, face or not.
