Feel free to pm about blog stuff. I'm dragging this post off topic.

On topic:

I'm looking forward to seeing arms on the new models. Could make some neat additions for my Sedition War stuff.

Wow... those seem to be really good "Not-Mutilator" parts... if they are sized right.

If that is anything like an Arvus, (and I know how everyone hates it when miniatures are compared to GW as proxies) then I'll have to get one.

They shouldn't hate it if it's intentionally made to be usable as such!

These guys are so prolific, it's impressive.

I know some stuff is made with the itnention to use as such, but sometimes I feel the Dakka community look into how they can use a miniature produced by a company as a Warhammer equivalent, and not as the piece itself. Kind of like the Alien worm kickstarter, where people were clamoring over the idea of using them as Tyranids, and not the beasties themselves.

Regardless, the super modular soldiers these guys have made will be making their way to me as soon as they're released. I need them badly!

PW seem to have quite a lot on their plate at the moment! Everything seems so well designed, even the way it is mad to fit together snugly.

Come on and release some of this stuff, we are all waiting!

I keep throwing my money at the screen and nothing's happening!

Actually at this point I'm just waiting for the gunship and modular soldiers to drop then I'll buy those and a pair of the fighters.

I think I'm going to paint the gunship and modular troops as their own little military force, inspired by Starship Troopers.

I beg of you sarge let me lead the charge when the battle lines are drawn

I am waiting for the same thing also, I am buying the same stuff as you although I am also after the guard head set they just released, might get 2 sets of troops depending on the price ?

Yeah if the troops are cheap, and assuming they come in 10 man squads I might buy 20. The helmets are cool as is but I'm considering a swap as well.

You're assuming it's a flyer? From the pic I would think it's a different hull module for those nice tank tracks they make.

I'll wait until someone else buys them and shows them off. A poster saved me a bunch of money a few pages back when he showed how tiny and too-small-for-marines the otherwise-awesome Iron-Warrior-Berserker type heads were. Same deal with these arms. Marine size? Terminator Size? Mutilator Size? Who can tell from the renders?

I'll tell you why. If I were looking at Ed's worms only as models in and of themselves, I'd be interested in perhaps one of each, probably to eventually(?!) paint up and use for... well, I'm not sure. That's a $50 pledge Something nice on the shelf. As a Tyranid-proxy force, I suddenly want ten or twenty of some of those models, and now my $50 pledge is a $250 pledge. I also have something to use them for above and beyond just being nice models.

If people didn't like them or see the potential, they wouldn't be there in the first place. It not only bumps up the numbers that people will buy, but also "justifies" the expenditure internally. Sedition Wars for example? A big outlay for a game that none of us have played with a ruleset that might be awesome or awful. Comes with a ton of figures and tiles though, so if the game is a wash, you've still got the basis for a cool looking Imperial Guard (or Infinity) force. Judge Dredd figures? Arbites! And so on.. Figures pulling double duty is a good thing.

Puppetswar's stuff is great. Lovely models. But let's not kid ourselves, they're all basically 40k proxies and alternative parts. No shame in that. As much as we kid around it, it's no different to Kromlech, Maxmini, Anvil, Paulson or many others out there. Chapterhouse may be the only one blatantly saying it, but that's what they all are...

I'm with you I think it is some kind of tank option, there seems to be some kind of drivers cab, rear door and pivot sections for the hatch or cab section I think .

That was me I believe however it seemed to helped a lot of other buyers who wanted them for traitor/renegade guard but thought they would have been to large.

Helpful either way is still helpful. That's why sizing shots like the ones you posted are so useful.

Welcome to the warhammer community as a whole, where we all want cheaper alternatives

Just what I was thinking but in good way, perfect for UNSC themed IG with C:SM to count as spartans.

That is AMAZING. I can only imagine the poses you could do for him - hanging out of a gunship door, fast-roping down from a gunship, even getting 2 of them to sit on the side doors of a gunship like a Little Bird, jumping over sandbags, firing majestically, a gunship giving him cover fire in the near distance....

All joking aside I think that's the most configurable mini from any manufacturer on the planet.

These would also be perfect for a gears of war themed army, a few of these bodies mixed with catchan arms and heads would look sick.

Games Workshop: Ruining Chaos Space Marines since 2007

First they raised prices on the Eldar, and I did not speak out because I did not play Eldar.

Then, they raised prices on the Orks, and I did not speak out because I did not play Orks.

Then, they raised prices on the Nids, and I did not speak out because I did not play Nids.

Then, they raised prices on the Marines, and there was nobody to speak out for me.
