I just feel that it needs more of the yellow towards the rear... maybe on the side panels like the front...

Imperial Monkey and Miss Dee, I see your point regarding the rear of the Pred.
I did not want to add the yellow to the back trim, as the symmetric look did not look right, but it may be used on another vehicle.

Another idea I’m play with at present is that each vehicle has its own unique look, and by applying Desert yellow to different areas of the tank trim, but maintaining the front coloured as standard, I’m hoping to achieve this but still maintain the overall feel of the army, as can soon be seen with the Vindicator I’ve almost finished.

For when it must absolutely be destroyed.

I think it should be "If you need to kill every in the room."

Rune Priest Dreadnaught's are currently not available in the SW Codex, but as I like the idea, and why should Blood Angels have all the fun, I'm already planning one.
I have to admit, and may already have stated this, but I just love Dreadnought's, this March's project is Bjorn the Fell-handed, which arrived in the post just yesterday.........Though I'm still painting 2 squads of Long Fangs, a conversion of Lugft Huron into the Wolf Gaurd, nothing special just a bit of fur added, and Magister Sevrin Loth into a Rune Priest, so March may need the be longer than just the 31 days.

There's also 2 further vehicles in varying sages of assembly, not to mention the Thunder wolf I've still not painted.................Never seem to have the time.

I have a Stormraven for my sons of medusa, gonna get a second for my Night Lords.

Sorry guys, but I'm having to take a short break from my hobby. We've had a death in the family and my wife's undertaking a major operation shortly so most (still intended to spend sometime on this) of my time is and will be committed to the family.

What I'd be interested in is ideas for where to take the Lycan next, models, conversions, and comments on what's been done so far.

That way when I can a again spend plently of time on my beloved hobby I've pool of ideas to pull from.

Do Grey Knight have to be grey, there has to be a way of including those Terminators in my army (they look cool IMO).

Sorry to hear that mate, Hope everything is as good as it can be considering...

I inherited some mini's from a mate a few weeks ago. They didn't fit with my army at all (posing, mark of armour, basing etc.. ). Now I could not be dealing with stripping, reposing , rebasing etc... so I looked at the marines and then it hit me. They looked exactly like I picture ultrasmurfs to be (straight back, stand to attention, "Sir yes Sir" marines).

The moral of the story is I have painted them as ultrasmurfs and they are just a group of marines returning from a savage battle with the closest available transport. As I use vanilla marines the rules are all the same for me and I have always wondered why marines could not use more "ally marines" anyway given the nature of the imperium.

In hindsight a long way of saying what Mis Dee said....

How about a unit or two of Exorsists from IA10?

The wifes recovering nicely , I've even managed to spend sometime painting.

Hopefully this weekend I'll post pictures of the painted Thunder Wolf.

As for ideas, how about scouts?

I havent read back to the beginning but with all the heretical goings on with Bran Redmaw's rune priest, the Lycan got pretty depleted didnt they?

I would think that the chapters best would be drafted into scout squads to act as outriders, ensuring the Lycan hit hardest and where troop losses could be minimised..... or the Lycan may not survive to fight another battle.

Or 6 man razorback teams, like skirmishers or outriding patrols to protect the army's flanks incase of ambush, again self preservation of the Lycan.

Or Bloodclaws..... everybody needs to recruit to stay alive, however if your chapter are wanderers you could use a whole panoply of different heads and weapons instead of chainswords to represent troops recruited from different worlds. 2 handed weapons, chain aves, whatever spings to mind really.... i use a lot of norse marauder stuff.

Individual terminator wolfguards spread amongst the packs to act as leaders, the veterans showing the pups how it is done.... could do a lot of conversion work to show their veteran status.

Or put all units in a tank of some kind to make a mech force, Fast in, fast out and hits hard before the enemy retaliates, a great way for the wolves to close their jaws on an enemies throat.

Lastly Ironpriests, They would be essential to an army using a plethora of armour.

I saw a guy in GW Stirling a while back.... he mounted a thunderfire cannon on top of a rhino and used it as a "counts as" vindicator, looked really cool.

You're painting and attention to detail are incredible. I love the weathering. One thing that stand out to me though is your lights and diodes on your vehicles are kinda flat,

The rider hopefully should be finished by next weekend, though he originally started out a just the first member of a thunderwolf Cavalry unit, but he did so well as a Lord in the last game I played, taking out two Landraiders and a Chaos Lord that he's been promoted.

Wow, looks really impressive, and unique compared to most other Thunderwolves out there. Cant wait to see the rider.
