I'll wait till I have the kit in my hands before I pass judgement on the SR, but I like it a bit so far, not fantastic but hopefully its just the perspective thats skewing it.

Still my Flesh Tearers do need to get into combat sooner

I'll have plasticard on standby should hull lengthening be required.

I like the turret though *takes cover*

Ok I cant see the pictures on page (3) but I can see some photos on page 4 starting with Major Tom. Is that the actual photo for the stormraven? or is it someones creation?

Id love to see the Stormraven released by xmas...but I definately doubt it, especially with the attention the DE new releases are getting. -- All I know is that next few months should be an exciting time if your a 40k player...with more DE releases on the way and now the confirmed pic of the Storm raven, should be awesome!

Major Tom's picture is his own creation, the other pictures on page 4, with the exception of the hand sketch, are GW's.

If it came from suckmonkey its not true. It makes no sense to make models that have no rules in 40K.

There's really no need to make juvenile attacks on people like this, please don't in future.

Perhaps rules for any new models -- like the plastic Nightspinner -- might appear in a supplement or a monthly magazine -- like the plastic Nightspinner.

I'd imagine a lot of non BA codex using marine players could be chuffed if, for kre-azy top o' my head example, they put rules for the Stormraven in an issue of a monthly magazine made by the same company that would encourage them to buy and use a shiny new..if somewhat boxy.. new kit.

The poor man really has a stake in the country. The rich man hasn't; he can go away to New Guinea in a yacht. The poor have sometimes objected to being governed badly; the rich have always objected to being governed at all
We love our superheroes because they refuse to give up on us. We can analyze them out of existence, kill them, ban them, mock them, and still they return, patiently reminding us of who we are and what we wish we could be.

The Storm Raven already has standard rules in the BA Codex, and the same Codex says that Grey Knights use it as well.
And GW has made many models that have no rules in standard 40k games (Stompa, Baneblade, Fortress of Redemption,...).

I much prefer MajorToms version of this model. The only thing i can think of for additional engine vents for the "VTOL" look woudl be to use the small fans off the drop pod kit, mount them in some sort of housing and angle them down.
